Is it uncommon to miscarry after you hear a fetal heartbeat?

No, if you are under a lot of stress or you can lift on something heavy and tear the placenta from the wall or any trauma to the abdomen can cause you to miscarry. It is more common to miscarry before you see/hear a heartbeat.

Which structure is the site of nutrient and gas exchanged between the mother and growing fetus?

The structure responsible for nutrient and gas exchange between the mother and the growing fetus is the placenta. The placenta facilitates the transfer of oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, and waste products through its extensive network of blood vessels, connecting the maternal and fetal circulatory systems. This organ plays a crucial role in supporting fetal development throughout pregnancy.

What are the different stages of a fetus?

During the 1st trimester, all the major body organs form. The heart begins to beat at 4 weeks, and by the end of the 1st trimester fetal heart sounds are able to be heard. During the 2nd trimester, the fetus looks like a baby, the sex of the baby can be determined, and sometime between the 16th-20th weeks the mother will begin to feel the baby's movements. The baby will become more active. Hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes develop. During the 3rd trimester, the baby develops the ability to breathe as surfactant is produced. Finger and toe nails form, and the baby continues to grow and create subcutaneous fat. During this time the baby is also able to open and close it's eyes.

Does loud music and vibrations from it harm an unborn baby in any way?

At about 24 weeks, your baby's outer, middle, and inner ear — including the cochlea, the snail-shell-shaped tube in the inner ear where vibrations are converted into the nerve impulses we perceive as sound — are well-developed. By 27 to 30 weeks, your baby's ear is mature enough to start to respond to the sounds that filter through to him or her. The sounds, of course, are muffled — and not just by the physical barrier of amniotic fluid and your own body. In his or her fluid-filled home, a baby's eardrum and middle ear can't do their normal job of amplifying sounds. So even sounds that are quite loud to you won't be for the fetus. A fetus' prolonged and repeated exposure to very loud noise — say, an eight-hour-a-day shift in an industrial workplace, where the sound level is more than 90 or 100 decibels (about the same as standing next to a loud lawnmower or a chain saw) — raises the odds of a baby suffering some hearing loss, especially at higher frequencies. Such prolonged noise exposure can also increase the risk of premature delivery and low-birth-weight babies. Extremely intense sound, 150 or 155 decibels (ever stand right next to a screaming jet engine?), can cause similar problems for the baby. Noise is usually considered as detrimental during the pregnancy. In most European countries, health regulations forbid pregnant women to work in surroundings with a level over 80 dB continuous noise and rapid impulse noise changes of 40 dB.

Chance of survival at 30 weeks?

Oh, the chances of survival are quite high! At 27 weeks pregnant, your baby has an 85% chance of survival if it were to be born that week! You are nine weeks ahead of that! Your baby's lungs are fully developed at this stage so I wouldn't worry.

How does the embryo get food and oxygen and get rid of waste?

If you mean eggs from birds or chickens, then the embryo uses gas exchange. there are tiny pores in the egg shell where oxygen can go into a small bubble at the top of the inside of the egg. it gets it's food from the surrounding yolk & egg white.

Which trimester does a fetus develop fingers and toes?

Fingers and toes begin to develop during the first trimester of pregnancy, specifically around the 8th week. By the end of the first trimester, typically around 12 weeks, these digits are more distinctly formed. This process is part of the overall development of the limbs during early fetal growth.

Can a baby see inside the womb?

Human eyes begin to develop about 22 days after fertilization! Between weeks 10-12, the eyelids are formed, and are closed; they remain closed until week 27-28, when the fetus can open and close the eyelids. So, the fetus (unborn baby) can see, though it's pretty dark inside there! When they're born, babies can see light and movement, but they can't focus on anything or follow movement with their eyes.

For what purpose is the placenta attached to the mother and fetus?

The placenta being attached to both the mother and the fetus, provide important benefits, such as supplying nutrients to the fetus, eliminating waste, and gas exchange.

Can fetus learn or think?

Learn? No.

Think? It's called a fetus up to week 38 so in the end it can think but it's not something one will remember. Consciously we don't start to remember until we are around 2.

How long does it take an egg to turn into a fetus?

You've got it confused I'm afraid - the embryo forms FROM the egg. It doesn't move anywhere. If you're talking about a bird or reptile egg, the shell forms around the embryo and yolk sac during its passage through the mother's body.

Why does a fetus' heart beat stop?

When a person's heart temporarily stops beating this is called sudden cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen due to congestive heart failure, inflammation of the heart, heart attack and cardiomyopathy.

Is it possible for a mother to give birth to a pregnant baby?

No. Although a girl is born with all her eggs, she does not start ovulating, or releasing eggs, until she enters puberty.

When do fetus start feeding through the placenta?

A developing fetus is supplied with its needs for metabolism and growth from the mother via the placenta.

Is stressing really bad for your unborn baby?

Yes it is ! Stress from the mother can be 'transmitted' to the baby in the womb. They may not be aware of what stress is - but they certainly feel it !

When does the baby actually alive?

It's not called a baby until week 38 of pregnancy or when it's born (even if it's before week 38). Medically it's not considered alive as in positive pregnancy until the egg is attached and you are actually pregnant.

16 weeks 4 days and still haven't felt baby move?

I am 24 weeks 3 days pregnant and I have the same problem as you. I asked my midwife about it 2 weeks ago and she said that their is a good chance that I have an anterior placenta, meaning that the placenta is in front of the baby. She said that because of this when the baby moves that the placenta absorbs the hit. She suggested that I drink a full glass of orange juice let it set in, then jiggle my belly around and lay very still on the ground. She said then your partner should watch your stomach especially the sides and see if they see any movement. She said usually the movement will be felt on the sides because the baby can try to kick around the placenta. Hope this helps.

Do you feel babies heartbeat in womb?

No you can't. If you can feel a pulse over your pregnant abdomen it is the large vessels in your uterus supplying the placenta.
