I think fried trout is the best. Make a mixture out of corn meal (yellow) and flower, coat fish with a egg then roll in the mixture, throw in skillet with hot grease and cook. Yumm now I am wanting to go get some trout

you have to use your thumb. its a baitcasting reel so the operation is different from a spincasting reel, which i believe to be more common. i recently got one of these reels, a 5000C gold, so i just looked up, researched and ask questions on how to cast them. it takes practice. hope this helps answer ur question.

The Ambassadeur has several adjustments that allow you to tune your reel for the weight of the lure/bait you are using. This will reduce the "overrun" that produces the birdsnest.

There are two primary system. The easier to adjust are the spool caps. These are the two knurled knobs. One on each side of the reel. Screwing these in increases the tension on the spool and prohibits free rotation. To adjust place your lure on the end of the line (reel should be mounted on the rod and line should be fed through eyes before tying on lure). Hold the rod out and mash the button on the back right of the reel. The spool should now rotate and the lure will fall. Adjust the knobs in a manner that increases the tension and slows the fall of the lure to a steady 1 foot drop per second. It is best to try and apply tension evenly from both sides which would require backing both knobs completely off and then apply pressure evenly from both sides. Once the reel is adjusted for the lure you are using you can make minor adjustments to suit new lures or your taste and level of expertise.

I use a Cabala's King Kat 6' 6'' pole with a Cabala's King Kat spin cast reel. I also use an 8' Pinnacle pole with an old Ocean City bait caster. My friend has caught some nice fish with ease on an old Zebco 808, also. I think that is very good too. I use a abu garcia I am not for sure what action it is. It has 50 pound line and a 100 pound leader line. I use an ugly stick with a hard back bone and a pretty soft tip.

6.2:1 baitcasters are good. They are average baitcasters and work good for all baits. I'd only use a 7 gear racio if you are a tournament fisher like Kevin Van Dam lol

Trespass is NOT a criminal offence, hence you cannot be 'charged' by anyone!

IF the lake is on private property, you may be trespassing to be there, but ONLY the owner of the property can initiate proceedings against you in a private prosecution (NOT the police) as it's classed as a civil offence (in the UK), not a criminal one.

The only time the police would get involved in such an issue was if it was escalted in some way, e.g. the allleged trespasser was in possession of a gun (which then elevates the offence dramatically to 'armed trespass' which the police treat very seriously) Another reason they may get involved is if any confrontation between the alleged trespasser and the owner (or their agent) becomes heated and escalates to a point where violence (or threats) occur.

IF you are fishing and killing / taking fish, that is a seperate matter entirely, and SHOULD be treated by the police as the criminal offence of theft.

Consider also that the lake might be marked as 'Private' for a number of reasons, and under those conditions, fishing there MAY be punishable as a criminal offence ... a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) etc

Consider also the reality of the situation - 'private' lake, possibly well off the beaten track - angry landowner / bailiff, fragile fishing tackle........
