How many 12 x 24 in tiles will fit in a 110 square feet?

The tiles are not 12X24 they are 1 foot X 2 Foot and that makes the 1'x2'=2' sq feet each tile.

110 sq feet to cover makes the equation look like 110 divided by 2 = 55 tiles

How do you know if porcelain tile is pre sealed?

Porcelain tile is basicaly glass & doesnt need to be sealed, sounds like some sales person is trying to sell you a smoke grinder.

Ceramic, maybe, saltillo absolutely, but not the porcelain.

What kind of grout to use when tiling bathroom?

Since there are many features of grout, this will depend on your question.

There are epoxy grouts and latex modified grout. Epoxy grout is very stain resistance. The problem lies in that epoxy grouts are hard for a novice to use.

Latex modified thin-sets are durable when used correctly.

Additionally, you need to make sure you buy sanded or non sanded grout depending on the size of the grout joint and type of tile.

If you have many natural stones, glass tile, or a tile with a great deal of shine, you will need a non sanded grout. Many bathrooms need this regardless, because their grout joint is 1/8" or less.

All joints larger than 1/8" require sanded grout. This means you must be cautious before you begin, you place your joints correctly for the style tile you have.

How many tiles required of 30sqm land if a tile is 4040cm tile?

If the tiles are 40x40 cm, each square meter will require 2.5 x 2.5, or 6.25 tiles. For 30 square meters then, you would need approximately 30 * 6.25 tiles, or 187.5 tiles. Of course, if you're doing real flooring and not a simple math puzzle, then .5 tiles are pretty useless, and you'd need to account not just for the area of the room, but the length and width.

If a carpet cost 1.95 a square foot how much would it cost to carpet a room siz 12' x 12'?

Can a regular pentagon be used to tile a floor?

No, not if your floor is flat. Regular pentagons do not tile the plane. You will always end up with empty space. You would need to use some other shapes too (or irregular pentagons)

Can you use a steam cleaner on laminate flooring?

Using a steam cleaner on a laminate floor is not advisable. Laminate is made with MDF board and moisture and MDF are not a good mix. Check with your flooring manufacturer if you are still wanting to use a steam cleaner. Pergo, Dupont, Bruce, Armstrong, and other major brands all advice NEVER using steam to clean their product. Additionally, they void warranties when damage is cause because of its use.

Where in ct can you find carpet padding for 3 season room on cement slab?

How do I fold over carpet to meet with my tile edging?

I don't think folding is the right way to approach this transition. My carpet has a tack strip installed next to the tile and the carpet is cut so it lays right next to the tile edge. The tack strip holds it secure. There are also different joint transition trim pieces you can use if the height variation is to great. Check out Home Depot or Lowes.

How many square yard in 3 feet by 3 feet?

How do you Remove drywall mud from my new carpet?

If the mud is still wet, scoop up as much as possible, and rub it with a moist sponge or cloth. Keep a pan of fresh water there, and just keep rinsing out the sponge.

If it has dried, it will take longer. You will need to keep putting moist rags on it to soften is back up. Just don't put anything dripping wet so it doesn't soak your padding and such.

How much tile grout per square foot?

The amount of grouting material required will depend on the size of the tiles. If the tiles are small, such as mosaic tiles, there will be a lot more required (because there is a much greater number and therefore area of joints) than for large format tiles.
The type of grout being used will also affect the amount.

How do you polish oak floors?

it's easy and really hard to damage your oak floor using this method but time consuming and requires a buffer and paint brush.

-claen and dry the floor

-use a 320 grit maroon pad on the buffer to polish open areas

-use 100 grit sandpaper to lightly sand the edges

after buffing and sanding there should be and even layer of white powder on the floor.

-vaccuem and clean with damp water

-apply a new coat of finish(oil based polyurathane or water-based coating will work fine for a re-coat).

recoats hold a shine for 6 months in restraunts.

...there is nothing you can do to get an oak floor to shine like new without coating.

Why leakages in a room with dampness affect the carpet in the living room with floor carpet damp with an unaccommodating odor?

Water or moisture is running under the wall. Internal walls are not normally sealed to the floor. Bathrooms an wet areas like laundries are the exceptions. They are sealed.
Almost always this happens when the waterproofing system breaks down in a bathroom. Typically a shower leaks and the water runs under the wall and into another room.
Carpet acts like a wick and it can suck moisture a long way.
The smell is caused by mould probably on the underside of the carpet.
Apart from water from bathrooms and other wet areas, water can penetrate concrete slabs from below if there is no waterproof membrane under the slab or if it is damaged.
To get rid of the smell, first fix the leak. Then lift up the carpet and air it out. Use fans etc. Or take it into the open air. If it is black underneath with mould and it has been like this a long time then replace it.

How bad is it that you used ceramic tile adhesive to install marble tiles that i put up for my backsplash?

Probably not a problem at all since many of these adhesives are multi-purpose, and most are water-based. However, marble is quite porous and so a petroleum-based adhesive might bleed through the tile and cause some type of discoloring.

If you do not see a problem, there probably isn't one, but you could email the manufacturer of the adhesive if you are still concerned.

Why does your bissell steam mop smell like you mopped with fish water when you use it?

You should purchase a new cartridge mine did the smae thing.

---OR---

Before buying a new cartridge, you might try cleaning the inside of the mop head (if possible with your model). It seems that the smell results from gunk and such building up inside the head unit.

I have a Bissell Lift-Off Steam Mop. The mop head is a two-piece plastic unit held together by eight screws. Remove the eight screws and gently pull the two pieces of the head unit apart. The steam hose is clamped into the bottom piece by way of a plastic bridge and two more screws. Remove the screws and bridge. Inspect the bottom piece of the mop head and for dirt and other stinky things. Clean thoroughly (along with the upper piece of the mop head still attached to the mop. Let it all dry thoroughly and then reassemble in the opposite manner as you took it apart. Not counting for drying time, the whole process took me about 5-minutes. After a few seconds of steam, there was no more smell.
