No, it's no free anymore. It used to be you got your first foopet free, but now it's at least $4.99 a month. That's why people don't go on it very much anymore and that's why it's shutting down. x-(

No, and it hasn't been for about 2 months now. This is because the creators of Foo Pets realized that everyone was only making one pet-for free. No one really payed money. But, that is how they kept the website up and running. So, since no money was being paid, the website couldn't be free like that. The creator said this is an interview, and I quote, "The website was free. But it can't be anymore. This is business." That was the end of it. A few days later, lots of people started getting really mad, including me. When the creators made the website, they put limits to certain items, you had to pay money for them. That is in most games, but this was different. I guess he realized it wasn't enough limits. Now, since no one wanted to pay money, they still don't, and I guess they never will. I am guessing that soon it will be shut down due to lack of payments. If this didn't help you, let me know.

FooPets was running low on money, and without making some drastic changes, FooPets would have closed all together. So they made it pay-to-play as a way to increase their money, so they would be able to improve the site and make new features.

One of the reasons was simply because of GoPokey. GoPokey was on Facebook and it was basically FooPets named GoPokey and the breeds of dog were ONLY pokeys and no others.

Then the name,GoPokey, was changed to FooPets and made into a website instead of an app on a social networking site. So there was still Pokeys existing on Foo thanks to the App on Facebook.

They couldn't take away everyone's Pokeys so now this happened. No more breeding of Pokeys.

But now a days to make Pokey Puppies, You simply must breed a Legacy Pokey BREED and another Legacy Pokey BREED.

Foo Pets don't die. They get hungry until the Shelter feeds them. The Shelter can only feed them 3 times then your pet goes to the Shelter. You have 24 hours to reclaim your pet.

No FooPet has ever died...yet. The lifespan of a FooPet is anywhere between 10 and 20 years depending on the care history of that FooPet and how well it is taken care of. As FooPets hasn't been around anywhere *near* that long yet...it will be quite some time to come before any of the pets pass away, at which time this question will be able to be answered.

When people say generation they are talking about the Foopet's family tree. When you go onto your Foopet's profile, look where it mentions the birthdate of the Foopet. Under that, it may or may not say who the mother and father of the Foopet is. If the mother and father information is not there, your Foopet is a first generation. If there is the mother and father information, you would then click on one of those Foopet's profiles and see if they have a mother/father information. If not your Foopet is second generation, if so then you repeat the same thing with your Foopet's mother's/father's mother/father until you get to the end of it all. Depending on how big the Foopet's family tree is, the bigger it's generation will be. I've seen up to 7th and 8th generation Foopets sooo, yeah.

I have had 7 litter's on Foopets.

You pay 20fd to accelerate conception but you ,ust wait two weeks until birth and a following two weeks for them to wean, the site is pathetic though... Not worth spending FD on.
