Foxes

They do - all mammals drink milk produced by their mother when they're young. My own ferret was reared by hand on warm goat's milk fed from a bottle after his mother died. He's a year old and very healthy now.

Do not give cow's milk to ferrets as they are lactose intolerant and will cause diarrhea.

Food would be the main area of competition between desert rabbits and mice.

Depending on their shared environment, living space (places providing shelter from predators and for sleeping and breeding) might be another area of competition.

For example: if food is plentiful, but safe and available living areas are not, they will compete for the latter, while if food is scarce but living space is plentiful, they'll compete for food.

If both necessities are scarce, of course, they'll compete for both.

If any or all necessities remain scarce, eventually one species will dominate and the other will migrate from, or die out of, that area.

The fox is an omnivore and eats plants as well as animals. I have not heard if they eat miner's lettuce, however.

There is no such species as a "cross fox." However, foxes do live in wetlands. The gray fox is a fairly common animal in the Everglades of Florida.

The pitch is basically related to the sound's frequency. A higher frequency (more vibrations per second, i.e., more hertz) is perceived as a higher pitch.

Keep the light on constantly. Use a red light. Foxes (most animals) can't see red very well at all. To them it looks like a bright grey hole. You are hiding behind it. The light is your camo and your cover. If you don't shine constantly, approaching coyotes or foxes can see you.

white foxes are not a species. If you mean the Arctic fox, no, it is not an endangered species. Wikipedia lists it as "Least Concern".
