Not totally, just because it is an internal combustion engine doesn't exactly mean that fossil fuels need to be burnt. The concept of the Internal Combustion engine is relatively reuseable, the major problem with it is its efficiency. As we all know a good petrol engine will probably get around 25 - 30% efficiency as in driving force. The rest is lost mostly to either friction or heat.

If these problems can be rectified the Internal Combustion engine could possibly run on fossil fuels for another century (Oil depending/Government b*llshit). Yet fuel cells and other means of power are being developed so this depends on the movement of technology.

Many people use gasoline engines. Most new engines require only 5W - 30 oil mutiviscosity for comfortable driving. For older engines you can choose 10W-30 or 10W-40. Heavier multiviscosity oils such as 20W-40 are for high rpm, high-load applications mainly but avoid using it in extreme weather.

Twin engine aircraft do not have counter-rotating engines. While this would make sense from an aerodynamic engineering point of view, it would greatly increase the complexity of the aircraft, having to design and produce two completely different engines for one aircraft.

four strok engines are like a scale down version of a car engine. They work the same way. unlike 2 stroke which can work any way E.G: upside down etc. 4 stroke engines need to positioned the right way so they can have a constant flow of oil. does this help?

This is a pretty generic question. Cam timing events play a major role in how well a cam actually performs. Headers vs. manifolds also make a big difference when you start making changes with the cam, as a bigger cam needs to breathe more. Without knowing these things, as well as carb/fuel injector size- a VERY rough guess would be anywhere between 400-475 ft/lbs and 325-400 horsepower. If you have all the matching components to this set-up, you could readily see 500/500..

The most likely cause of low-power, when under load, in your Cummins N14 diesel engine is a lack of fuel. The problem can also be a lack of air flow.

13B for N/A and 13BT for Turbo models.

The oil capacity based off of changing the oil filter along with the oil is 4-5 quarts. Add 4 quarts first then run the engine for a few seconds to build oil pressure. shut the engine off and check the oil level on the dipstick. add if necessary

It's not the amount of cylinders. Formula 1 cars have 8 and they rev to 10,000prms. It's about a shorter stroke and less reciprocating mass. Generally, engines in cars with 4 cylinders have a displacement under 3 liters. This means smaller pistons, rods, crankshaft and/or stroke. Big American muscle has V8's with big displacement, let's say 5 liters or bigger. So they have a longer stroke, bigger pistons, bigger rods and a bigger crank. So that's basically why.

You can convert a petrol engine into a diesel engine by changing the fuel injectors. The fuel filters will also need to be changed.
