Leopard geckos are able to be transported at short distances in a Tupperware container approximately shoe sized or bigger. Be sure to include a substrate for the transportation and oxygen flow. Holes will need to be cut into the container. If the animal is going to be shipped long distances, they must be professionally wrapped with Styrofoam fit pieces and heat packs and is not recommended for the avid hobbyist.

Leopard geckos shouldn't always be fed pinkys as they are very fattening. but if your gecko NEEDS a pinky, it should either be very hungry ad go for it as soon as you drop it in front of him/her but if not use feeding tongs to make the pinky look like its wriggling in front of your gecko that should do it.

Usually a crested gecko going through shed will lighten in color. The animal will look almost pale and most likely activly calm down and tend to stay in one given area. During this time the animal is under going stress, avoid handling when shedding.

Well, you're probably in for a surprise. In other words, your leopard gecko is pregnant! If you've never had any other leopard geckos in the aquarium (or wherever you keep it) then the egg will never hatch, it's just a cycle some leopard geckos go through, and is not uncommon. No need to worry, just remove the egg; but if you have had another leopard gecko in the cage before, it was probably a male, even if you thought otherwise, as this can be tricky. If this is so, you should put a small container of fresh aspen shavings or the moss you can get, but not the sand (this can be hazardous for baby leopard geckos). Hopefully, your gecko will lay her egg in the container, and you should remove that and place them in an incubator (directions at http://www.albeysreptiles.com/incubate-eggs.htm). Continue to follow the directions at that website, and you will find what you need. If the eggs are not in the container, carefullyremove the eggs by taking all that is under it and gently placing it in the container. Try to incubate them, following the directions given earlier, but it will normally be too late by then. Hope your hatchlings-to-be will do well!

The common tokay gecko is not a pricey gecko. They are an invasive species in several parts of the world and are somewhat common. Morphs of tokay geckos are highly sought out due to the rarity of these amazing colors and patterns.

Well, there are a lot of things you should know about doing this. First off she needs to have a lot of calcium and protein in her diet. Make sure her food is covered in calcium powder! When she lays her eggs you need to make sure you have the time, money and an incubator to do so! Once she lays eggs put them in your incubator!

Leopard geckos are solitary animals only meeting with one of the same species during mating season. I would not reccomend housing any other specie with a leopard gecko.

A gecko should not take in any animal found outside, especially in a larger populated area. insects, spiders, moths, butterfly's, worms, etc.. can carry disease, parasites or pesticides and can be extremely dangerous to your geckos health. My iguanas roam free around my place but they are crate trained. They will return to their cage to; poop, eat, drink water or sleep. Sometimes they will sleep on my bed and then go poop in their cage. My iguanas are very docile with people they know. I know this because one of them bit my boyfriend one time because he hugged me (it was the first time they met him). It was pretty funny since she began to nod her head, then the other iguana tried to chase my boyfriend. My iguanas do know the command "stay" but I was having to much fun when they were chasing my bf. LOL

My iguanas also live with a little finch I have in my place. My finch isn't trained and doesn't require it since he returns to his cage on his own. Curiously enough he hates being outside of his cage even though he had always been outside, since I didn't have a cage for him. When I got him the cage I guess he felt so safe that he flies back into it all the time.

I don't think so, it's a stomach poison and since they'll track through it and don't groom would not be likely to ingest it also would take too much to do the job due to size disparity between a gecko and an insect. (toxicity is based on body weight of target)

Crested geckos come from the islands of New Caledonia. A cluster of islands north east of the Great Barrier Reef - Australia. More specifically an island within New Caledonia known as the Isle de Pins (Pine tree island)

Crested geckos should not be breeding all year round, as this can quickly deplete their calcium stores and weaken the animal. As a hobbyist, we are trying to mimic their natural environment and in the wild, a crested gecko undergoes a cooling period. During the winter months in New Caledonia, a crested geckos metabolism slows, they spend less time awake during the nights and they do not breed in order to build up enough fat and calcium for the next season. In captivity, cresteds will lay egg from March/April - October/November. During this period, they will lay 2 hard shelled eggs 2-4 inches deep in moist soil every 30-45days. These eggs then incubate for 60-120 days depending on heat and moisture.

All geckos start out as hatching's. They then hit a juvenile stage by about 2-6months of age. shortly following the juvenile stage is the sub adult which would be the stage that lasts until maturity.

I would not plan on keeping them in their together for the rest of their lives because they will breed and have baby leopard geckos. Then you would have to buy everything for the eggs and have you female taken care of very well. But if you do not want this to happen then put them in separate tanks.
