What happens when goose eggs hatch?
Well, you may find a gosling, or an embryo; if you find a gosling, then it will most likely die soon. When birds hatch, they have a special tooth, but they also need strength. Breaking out of the egg on their own builds up strength. If you open the egg for it, then it will not have the strength it needs (unless you train it, but even that probably wouldn't work), so it will most likely die from not being able to support itself.
What is the gestation period of a goose called?
The gestation period of a goose is called the incubation period. After the incubation period, if the egg is fertilized, a chick will hatch.
Does the Mother Goose come back to the nest after some of the other babies have hatched and left?
yes
Do cranes and storks have webbed feet?
No. Generally webbed feet only appear on animals that swim during any time in their lives. Storks and cranes do not swim, but walk through the water.
What does the goose use its beak for?
The purpose of a duck's beak is to allow the duck to quack. The quack sound resonates when the diaphraghm muscle contracts forcing the trapped air upwards into the oesophagus. The quacktorial gland in the beak then opens and closes to create an echo effect and therefore creating the sound we hear, commonly known as a quack. This is also why a duck's quack does not echo!
