Does a baby goose eat more than a full grown goose?
Yes it does! A baby goose eats more than a full grown goose because they need to grow and they are eager to eat. I did an experiment on this today. I have a lake right at the back of my house, so me and my mom went to feed them. We fed them some bread. The baby goose was basically racing. He would go under or beside the others and try to get the bread first. There was another baby goose that was there. It was doing the exact same things. They were racing against each other. But the first one was always the one getting the bread. We had loads of fun. I'm also doing some research about Canadian Geese, so stay updated for more interesting facts about these amazing creatures!

Cob is a term used to describe a type of horse that is small, usually of a stout build, with strong bones, large joints, and steady disposition. The term refers to a body type of horse rather than a specific breed A thoroughbred however is generally tall, anywhere between 15.2 and 17 hands. They have long, lean muscles that cover their straight necks and long legs. These are the horses you see in races like the Kentucky Derby.
How do you remove goose poop from the side of our house?
Bird feces contain caustic substances that can damage surfaces. A good method of removing it from walls is to use a pressure washer, to remove any large particles. Then take a cup of chlorine bleach (laundry bleach) or vinegar (both of these are slightly acidic) and mix this with three quarts of water. Spray this onto the wall, it'll neutralize the caustic. let it sit for about 5 minutes then pressure wash this off. The wall if it is painted may need to be repainted. Clean up any mess afterwards.
*Note: chlorine bleach can injure plants, if you have plants very close to the wall you may want to use vinegar. This 10:1 solution of bleach though shouldn't be strong enough for serious harm.
Can you give me the entire poem something told the wild geese it was time to go?
SOMETHING TOLD THE WILD GEESE
Something told the wild geese
It was time to go.
Though the field lay golden
Something whispered "Snow".
Leaves were green and stirring,
Berries, lustre-glossed,
But beneath warm feathers
Something cautioned "Frost".
All the sagging orchards
Steamed with amber spice,
But each wild breast stiffened
At remembered ice.
Something told the wild geese
It was time to fly -
Summer sun was on their wings,
Winter in their cry.

The goose step is a special march step performed in military parades. It is done by swinging your legs in horizontal position with knees locked.Like other march steps, the "Stechschritt" originated in the 18th century as a method to keep troops lined up properly as they advanced towards enemy lines.
Can you get in trouble if you hurt the geese eggs?
If your intention is to destroy the nest, yes you can get in trouble because Canadas are protected by the Migratory Bird Act. It is a felony. If you must remove the nest, you will need a permit and PLEASE bring the eggs to a wildlife rehabiltator (contact them first before approaching the nest) so he/she can raise them and release them into the wild.
But as a wildlife monitor for the past five years I urge you to let the eggs go full term. Do not move the mother or the father. Any type of aggression towards you by them will dissipate by the second week after the mother has sat down, and to ease tensions between you and a "nervous" goose dad, a peace offering of some corn, wheat bread or chopped fruit will make things much better.
In the community where I live, having a goose nest outside your business is considered good luck and the old wives tale is true. All the high grossing stores in our area have had nests at their doorways for the past three years.

Can 4 roosters hens ducks geese all live together?
Yes and no. First off most will tell you it is best to have an odd number of roosters in a flock. Not an even number. Ducks & geese are messy birds. So they make dry bedding wet which chickens dislike. Hope this helps!
What does it mean when several wedges or V formations of birds fly over you at one time?
Just that there are a lot of birds.
A large number will rarely fit into a single V formation. It splits up and several such groups form.
Coined along with many other collective nouns in 15th century, possibly from Old Norse gagl "goose", or from Middle English where the word meant "mindless chatter" usually applied to women (sorry!). Gaggle is only used for geese on the ground, a group in flight is called a skein, related to the same word used to describe a thread, especially of wool.
One view: It actually depends on the age of the embryo in the egg. An older embryo will warm the egg and the egg will stay warm longer. If you feel of the eggs and they are losing warmth, she has probably abandoned her nest. She knows the age of the chick and how long the eggs can be without her.
