It is a traditional German noodle soup that is simple to make and delicious. Kasnips have a simple egg noodle recipe with equal parts flour and water with egg. A full recipe has 3 cups flour, 3 cups water and 3 eggs. Once rolled out it will make a large stock pot full of Kasnips. You fill the noodles much like ravioli. The filling couldn't be easier. It is seasoned ground beef with onions and salt and pepper. Others contain cottage cheese with onions and salt and pepper. It sounds a little strange but it works.
