You cannot change your laptops graphic card.

Windows doesn't make the graphics cards for their computers. A company like dell, HP, acer etc. make graphics cards for windows computers

In SLI Nvidia cards if you have the slots 4 cards but you really need to look at the MOBO to see if it is a waste of time on how much the MOBO can support at once Example If the MOBO only can handle 2@16x and the board breaks it down as 1@16x and 2@8x (1x16,1x8,1x8) then the 4th board is at zero. some are 1x16,1x8,1x4,1x4 you are better off to use 2 each quality x16 cards for frame rates and use the other slots for non video items Crossfire can only handle 3 cards note the onboard chip acts as a 4th card. if I had the funds I'd run 2 GTX 590's or 6990's the same as running 4 cards in the but in 2 slots

If you have Windows 7 or Vista, Windows Update and Nividia Video Card Drivers then follow these instructions.

1. Click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

2. Click the search button and type in, "Windows Update". It should come up at the top of the search.

3. Click Windows Update and select Important Updates or Optional Updates if the Nividia Video Card Drivers Update won't come up.

4. Tick the Nividia Video Card Drivers Update and install.

5. When you're finished, go onto Minecraft and it should work. (If it doesnt work then try restarting the computer.)

Most likely a driver issue, especially if you bought an ATI 5000 series, although it could be the cause with any other card regardless. Go into the Program Files subfolder, clear out the ATI/Nvidia folder completely. Then head online and redownload the latest driver from ATI/Nvidia.

Try waiting a while, the try booting with one or more different boot parameters, the try running the installer in text mode.
