How much money is the Great Wall of China worth?
It did not cost any money to build as the people of China were forced to leave their homes by the King Qin Shi Huang to build it without pay, which means they can be considered as slaves. Many of them died due to over-exhaustion, diseases and other factors and when they lifted huge stones that were obviously not of their strength to carry. After they died, the workers were buried in pits around the Great Wall. No person was buried in the Great Wall. A decomposing body inside the wall itself would have caused the wall to deteriorate and fall apart. Many never saw their loved ones again. However, Qin Shi Huang was wise to build the Great Wall as the ruthless Mongolians, the Chinese' enemies at that time, could have invaded China easily and killed many more people that anyone could have imagined.

If you disagree with this answer don't just delete it but - by clicking on the Discuss Question button below - please use that discussion area to say what you think is the correct answer to the question "What is a nickname for the Great Wall of China because so many people died building it?"
Justification of the Misused Nickname Despite there were thousands of people died during the construction of the Great Wall of China, it's still unfair to call it "The Longest Graveyard in the World". All brilliant buildings in the world were made by the laboring populace under the oppression of their rulers. In this case, tyranny may be regarded as graveyard of its people, the guilt cannot be laid with these buildings. Besides this, it also should be mentioned that the Great Wall served its purpose and saved several-fold number of living compared to the dead, which is often neglected. I'm surprised to know there are many students have been taught at schools outside China about this nickname. But I don't think there have a common sense about it since I searched it on the Internet and very little results found, which are not on official websites. So I'm here to justify this false belief, to tell people that the Great Wall has very important position in Chinese people's mind. As it is deeply rooted in Chinese history, it became a symbol of cohesion. Please don't let someones misunderstandings affect your judgement. What in past is past, if people keep asking a nickname of this history, I offer my personal suggestion, call it "Sorrow of one Dynasty".

In what country was the Berlin Wall located?
It separated East and West Germany
----------------
It separated, more exactly, East from West Berlin, the latter having been an enclave in what was previously East Germany. The much longer border between West and East Germany was also closely watched but it stretched over hundreds of kilometres and was not marked by a long wall.
-----------------
Strictly speaking, West Berlin was not "an enclave in what was previously East Germany," since East Germany did not exist at the time the enclave was established. At the end of World War 2, Germany (which lost the war) was divided into four sectors, with responsibility for each given to one of the war's victors (USA, UK, France and the USSR). Berlin, the former German capital, was similarly divided into four sectors. In 1949, the US, French and British sectors were combined to form West Germany, with the corresponding sectors of Berlin (which were completely surrounded by the USSR-led sector of Germany) combining to form West Berlin. The Russian sector, including the Russian sector of Berlin, became East Germany.
Contrary to what might have been expected, the Berlin Wall was not a defensive wall (i.e., it was not built by a defender to keep a potential invader out). Rather, it was more akin to a prison wall; it was built by East Germany to prevent East Germans from escaping to the West German enclave of West Berlin (a problem that had plagued the East German government prior to the Wall's construction), and was actually located completely within East German territory (although in most cases mere feet from the actual border).
It wasn't king Khufu who built the pyramid it was an army of 10,000 to 20,000 slaves who built it for king Khufu. They toiled in the hot Egyptian sun for 20 years. It was likely that the slaves were naked.
