Hades (Pluto)

Some say that Hades was a bad place but I heard people were dying to get in.

Pluto, also known as the Greek God Hades has a dog named Cerberus. But Cerberus is often portrayed with three heads.

He did not. However, he did have to go to the underworld and bring back Cerebus, the three headed dog guarding the underworld, but it was Zeus who brought back Persephone.

P.S- Persephone ate 6 pomegranet seeds, so to be fair to Hades and Demeter, Persephone was forced to stay in the underworld for 6 months every year.

Hades father was Cronos the Titan who swallowed him at birth, as he also swallowed 4 of his brothers and sisters. They was released by their youngest brother Zeus. The three brothers Hades, Poseidon and Zeus defeated the Titans to become the Olympian gods and divided the ruling of the world between them by drawing lots. Zeus got the land and sky, Poseidon the sea and Hades the Underworld. Hades had a Helmet of Invisibility given to him by the Cyclopes which made anyone who wore it invisible. Hades became the god of the underworld because he lost a bet to his brothers basically.

The god Dionysus descended into the underworld to bring his mother Semele (and perhaps also his wife Ariadne) back from the dead.

Persephone was promised to Hades as his bride by Zeus, Persephone's father. He did this without informing Demeter or Persephone.

Hades arose from the Underworld to claim is bride, thus abducting her and taking her back to the Underworld.

While she was there she ate pomegranate seeds which binds her to the Underworld for half of the year, and allows her to return to the surface and Olympus for the rest of the year.

The ancinet Greeks associated with two of these, the first the White Island or the Islands of the Blessed was reserved for the heroes of myth. It was ruled by either Cronus, father of Zeus, or Rhadamanthus a son of Zeus and judge of the dead who enter the Underworld.

The second was located beyond the river Lethe, its fields were promised to initiates of the Mysteries who had lived a virtuous life. The gods of it were Persephone, Iacchus, Triptolemus, Hecate, Zagreus, Melinoe, and Macaria among others.

His Olympian nieces born of Jupiter are Diana, Apollon, Mercury, Bacchus, Mars, Minerva, Vulcan, and Venus. There are others, born of Jupiter, Juno, Ceres, Neptune - but Vesta is a virgin goddess, as are Diana and Minerva.

I am tempted to say that Hades special talent was stealth. Prior to the Titanomancy he was given the Helm of Darkness, a helmet that rendered him invisible. Using this he snuck over to the Titan side the night before the day of battle and destroyed all of their battle weapons.

Also I am inclined to say that Hades, although stern, was also just. He did kidnap Persephone to be his wife but only after securing Zeus's permission -- something that neither Zeus nor Poseidon did in their romantic endeavors. And after the 'traumatic event' Hades did negotiate a more amenable marriage settlement between Ceres (Persephone's mother) and (as far as we know) was faithful to her there afterwards (unlike Zeus and Poseidon were to their mates). Also Hades negotiated with Hercules the use of Cerberus (Hades's dog) Hercules could defeat and capture Cerberus but had to not to harm the dog and later release him.

And Hades was smart. Sisyphus decieved both Thanos and Persepone but failed to do so to Hades.

Money and other buried wealth comes from beneath the earth, which is the domain of Hades.

well, the story is that Persephone, goddess of spring, was the daught of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, and Zeus, god of lightening. Hades came to Zeus asking if he could take Persephone down to the underworld and make her his bride. Zeus agreed, saying that if Hades could get Persephone to go with him to the underworld, he could make her his bride. Hades found Persephone picking flowers in a field with her friends and took her down to the underworld on his chariot. However, when Demeter couldn't find her daughter, she came to ask Zeus if he knew where Persephone was. When she learned what had happened, she threatened that if her daughter wasn't returned, she would prevent anything from growing. Under the threat of death for man kind, Zeus said that Persephone could return IF she hadn't eaten anything in the underworld. Unfortunately, Hades had tricked eating Persephone into eating a few pomegranate seeds. In a compromise, they agreed that Persephone would spend 9 months of the year with Demeter (spring, summer, and fall) but would return to her husband for the other three months (winter).

No, Cerberus is still alive and well, still belonging to Hades.

Hades, like all Olympians, was immortal. He could not die. He could be wounded or imprisoned, but he could not die. The only reason he lived in the Underworld was because when Zeus, Poseidon and Hades split their kingdoms up, he got the Underworld.

Hades is considered a God. He is the God of the Underworld, the dead, and riches.

She must be considered very powerful, as when she is mourning the loss of her daughter, she stops everything from growing on the earth!

The Greek god of the underworld was Hades. Several other cultures had a god of the underworld, too, by different names.

He resented most other Greek gods, Hades doesn't even have a spot on Olympus, which leads me to believe that they kicked him out of Olympus.

Zeus sends Hermes, the messenger-god, because he's the only one who regularly goes there on business (Hermes guides souls to Tartarus).

Cerberus is a guardian of the Underworld.

He is practically Hades' pet, so yes, Cerbeus liked Hades
