Actually... I ran into something today. I have no idea how it happened but i was playing the game as normal and suddenly my pause menu was messed up and whenever i moved an item from the fridge, toolbox, shelf, etc. it would either vanish or duplicate, and the amount of money i had would change randomly when i moved items. i then saved my game as a separate file so i could go back later (hopefully the glitch didn't affect my previously saved file, i haven't checked yet), and when i reloaded my game was almost back to normal with two exceptions: i now have 99999999 G and i have two reins, two bells, and two sickles... Like i said, i have never heard of any serious glitches on this game before and have no idea how it happened, but there you go, this game is seriously screwed up.

Ok, before you start watering the plants, you need to get the whole quilt. Once you ship at least 1,000g worth of items Hamilton will talk to you about it. Once you ship some more, he will talk to you again and then he will give you the left half. Then you go over and talk to Gill (the mayor's son) about the harvest sprites. To get the right half, you talk to Dale (the carpenter) and he will tell you about the broken clock tower in the town square. After that, you talk to Hamilton and you ask him about the clock tower. Then you offer to fix it and he will give you the key. You go over to the clock tower in the Town Square and open it up. Inside you find the right half of the quilt and a note from Alan ( I think ). Then you take your watering can and water the flowers under the certain trees.

The Blue Bell is in the Watery Cave. To get into the Watery Cave you have to get the key to open the gates. To get the keys, talk to Paolo and he will give it to you. The Watery Caves is between the Wizard's house and the Choral Clinic.

You must meet Gill, Dale, Bo, and Luke. Then examine the root on a sunny day. Gill will show up and talk about how that is supposed to get cut.
There is a glitch that can happen where the root never gets cut. It can happen if you examine the root before meeting the correct people.

The item he requests is random, so it's a good idea to save your game before going to bed the night before. If the item Thomas requests isn't something you can acquire, just reload your game and try again. Thomas will ask you for a new item that might be more attainable. If he asks you for a Golden Egg, that does notexist in Harvest Moon DS and it's a bug that entered when you connected to your GBA game. Just reload like you normally would and have him ask for something new.
