No, this is just a myth. Unless you have vinegar in the hair 24/7 which I highly recommend you DO NOT DO because it is very smelly then this will not work. Are you using hair care products in your child's hair? Like Shampoo's and Conditioners? If so, why not use hair care products that repel lice? This makes more sense especially if you are already using products in their hair which Im sure you are. There are a lot of different natural products out there that prevent headlice...just do your research. I like Rosemary Repel products...they have kept my daughter lice free for three years since she was infested with lice!

I'm not sure , but I do know that lice love clean hair and hate oily hair. I had lice for a long time as a teen because my parents thought I made it up so I had to find my own way to get rid of it. I washed my hair twice in 2 weeks and they hated it.
