Shooting pains in the head can be a symptom of a number of things. It can be a migraine headache, ad sinus headache, or head pain caused by a sore tooth.
When you are crying, it is usually in response to a stressful situation. Stress can also cause tension headaches, by causing muscles of the head to contract, or directly or indirectly trigger migraines.
There have been neurotransmitters found in emotional tears (not to tears that you get while shedding an onion). It is possible that the chemical change going on may also trigger a headache.
What is a Headache at back of neck with loss of hearing on one side and vomiting?

What causes pain in the center of the head accompanied by extreme tenderness?
Pinched nerves are the little rotters that can cause pain anywhere in the body. Your neck could be out. It's very advisable to get it checked out by your doctor, and if they can find nothing wrong (probably not) find yourself a good chiropractor. Heres a tip to see if it could be a pinched nerve and your neck is out: In the meaty part of your upper shoulders (on each side of your neck) press firmly on both sides with your fingers on each side with both hands. If the pain doesn't go away, then press 4 fingers firmly on the back of your neck. If the pain goes away it's usually a pinched nerve or it could be a disc out in your spine.
your infected with something go to the docter
Is a biopsy of temple necessary to diagnose temple headaches that travel across forehead above eyes?
Biopsy of the temporal arteries is necessary to diagnose temporal arteritis. Usually temporal arteritis is one sided, but not always. If you are concerned about the biopsy, have a conversation with your doctor about it and ask for an explanation. For best results, seek the help of a headache specialist who is uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat problem headaches.

I would recommend asking your physician for an alternative pain med, as headaches are not uncommon with tramadol.
I would suggest that you try seeing someone at the ER of one of your hospitals. You could be suffering from a concusion or there could be other possibilities. Because your are experiencing eye problems I would get in as soon as possible. Please don't panic. The tests are painless and your problem is treatable if caught quickly. Please don't fear the unknown and let this go on another day. Get into that ER and be sure you tell the nurse at the desk exactly what you have told us here. Be as clear about your symptoms as possible. Good luck and please come back to the board and let us know how you are doing. Marcy I have the same thing, well the knot/bump on the back of your head could be a normal bump that you never noticed or if you hit your head within the past few days of this happening you may be having aura migranes. I had a bump on top of my head that was hard to the touch but did not hurt and my eyes would twitch or even get floaters and my doc told me that I was having migranes behind the eye. They are not like regular migranes they are in the eyes but you do feel some form of a headache in your head even though its actually in the eyes. PS the bump on top my head is about a quarter size and has never went away years after being hit. So I doubt a concusion caused my eye problem.
You should make a checkup at your local clinic, principally a TAC scan if possible. Normally, headaches and migraines show no changes in the structure or appearance of the skull. Unless you have had recently a head trauma, and this is a sequence of the swelling, you may be having some localized inflammation which cause must be found and treated as soon as possible.

How do you get rid of head aches?
I prefer to use massage of the neck and temples or a pressure point between your thumb and first finger where the soft tissue is on the hand. Great help...especially to massage the muscle on the right side of the back of the neck because that is the muscle that wraps up into the skull. Hope that helps! :)
I would recommend seeing a chiropractor. Often times there can be misalignments of the upper spine putting pressure on nerves that communicate to the sinuses. Typically sinus headaches will be in the sinus and forehead region. At one time I had bad allergies, and even had allergy shots. But the thing that helped the most with headaches and my allergies was having my neck adjusted. I also learned that I did not have the normal "C" curve in the neck like you should from the x-ray he did.

Why does my ice pick headache last 3 days?
An ice pick headache, characterized by sharp, stabbing pain, typically lasts from a few seconds to a few minutes, but if yours is persisting for three days, it may indicate an underlying issue. Potential causes could include tension, stress, or other neurological conditions. It's important to consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and to rule out any serious concerns, as prolonged headaches can be a sign of other medical conditions.
