Biopsy of the temporal arteries is necessary to diagnose temporal arteritis. Usually temporal arteritis is one sided, but not always. I would recommend asking your physician for an alternative pain med, as headaches are not uncommon with tramadol.

I would suggest that you try seeing someone at the ER of one of your hospitals. You could be suffering from a concusion or there could be other possibilities. Because your are experiencing eye problems I would get in as soon as possible. Please don't panic. The tests are painless and your problem is treatable if caught quickly. Please don't fear the unknown and let this go on another day. Get into that ER and be sure you tell the nurse at the desk exactly what you have told us here. Marcy I have the same thing, well the knot/bump on the back of your head could be a normal bump that you never noticed or if you hit your head within the past few days of this happening you may be having aura migranes. I had a bump on top of my head that was hard to the touch but did not hurt and my eyes would twitch or even get floaters and my doc told me that I was having migranes behind the eye. They are not like regular migranes they are in the eyes but you do feel some form of a headache in your head even though its actually in the eyes. PS the bump on top my head is about a quarter size and has never went away years after being hit. So I doubt a concusion caused my eye problem.

You should make a checkup at your local clinic, principally a TAC scan if possible. Normally, headaches and migraines show no changes in the structure or appearance of the skull. Unless you have had recently a head trauma, and this is a sequence of the swelling, you may be having some localized inflammation which cause must be found and treated as soon as possible.

I prefer to use massage of the neck and temples or a pressure point between your thumb and first finger where the soft tissue is on the hand. Great help...especially to massage the muscle on the right side of the back of the neck because that is the muscle that wraps up into the skull. Hope that helps! :)

I would recommend seeing a chiropractor. Often times there can be misalignments of the upper spine putting pressure on nerves that communicate to the sinuses. Typically sinus headaches will be in the sinus and forehead region. At one time I had bad allergies, and even had allergy shots. But the thing that helped the most with headaches and my allergies was having my neck adjusted. I also learned that I did not have the normal "C" curve in the neck like you should from the x-ray he did.

a reason of that maybe you arent breathing enough its a bit like if you work out if you hold your breathe and only breathe alittle your gonna get a headace the same with your problem so maybe breathe out your nose :) hope i helped
