What is the lowes hr assesment?
It is something called a behavioral assessment. It look to see how you would naturally approach various problems in the workplace. Having taken the assessment myself, it has one serious flaw.
Some companies are "manager centric", they want all issues to filter through a manager for a decision. Others are "enablement centric", they want employee's to work out issues where they feel they can make informed decisions between themselves, and engage management only when needed.
For every question on the assessment, you choose the "best" and "worse" possible solution to the problem from about 4 options. Every question offers both an "enabled" choice and a "managed" choice. "Best" simply depends on what Lowes wants, and most people are able to function with equal effectiveness either way - you just have to let them know which direction they should go with problems.
The other two options are usually one of the "you've got to be kidding me" type, and the other is pretty clearly not a "best" or "worse" answer.
"I'll take your name and number and get the message to her as soon as possible, but I'm not going to interrupt her when she left no instructions to do so."
Then, if you think the call was really important, and if it is possible, I'd slip a note to her saying something like: [This person] just called urgently asking to talk with you. I'll call her back now if you want.

Production organization depends entirely on what you are producing. However there are some basic steps towards the organization process that make for a less problematic production run. The best way to start is by an outline of the process written down on paper. Then a step by step description of the detailed process more clean and concise. The detailed process should be typed up in a word doc. Then what I like to do is large 4'X8' cork boards on my office wall to pin up these steps with pictures. Also, dry erase boards work well. Then under these steps you could also pin up the detailed production run of the product you are making. This will help keep you well organized and help minimize issues you may have down the line. Good luck!

What is the management by objectives?
Management by Objective is a management style or philosophy whereby the manager assigns a task (the objective) and gives the employee some freedom of how to achieve that objective. The manager must clearly define the task and specify any limitations such as a deadline, budget, etc. The manager would offer to provide any suggestions, directions or assistance needed by the employee and check on the progress periodically.
For example, a manager might ask an employee to cut the lawn around a building and have it done by a certain time. The employee could then decide whether he would cut the front first or the back first. He could decide what direction to go and if/when to take a lunch break, etc.
