This may help, and my memory serves me right. the Actress Lupe Velez, who died very tragically in l944 was laid out in a dress that might be considered a sort of borderline St.Joan get-up. It was a lovely white oufit with a printed Cross of Lorraine on the centerline of her breast, also her hair was set ina pageboy, very St. Joan-Ish. There was no armor plate but in a vague sense-and maybe the wartime atmosphere played a role here-you might considr it a (class a Dress) St. Joan Costume. Ms Velez was eventually buried in Mexico.
