Check the water line.

It is where the supply line is attached to a water line. May be under the kitchen sink or in the basement under the refrigerator in the closest supply line. Should be a hot water line. Hot water because most of the minerals stay in the water heater and the water in the supply line will be cold from sitting. Someone may have put a shutoff at the floor behind the refrigerator, but I doubt it.

I don't think so; generally there is a line that runs from the water source (sink or what have you) that should have a shut off valve located somewhere along the line. You should be able to see where the line connects at the back of your refrigerator and hopefully track it back to the source. It's frequently under the kitchen sink. Hope this helps!

The water pipe from the pump to the ice maker is quite thin; check it to see that it is not plugged.

Check to see that there is water also at the inlet to the water pump. If there is not, check that the pipe leading to the water pump is not plugged.

Depending on which way the mechanical switch is positioned, the ice either travels directly out the chute (cubed) or through an auger which crushes the ice before dispensing it.

Yes, you can use brass fittings or the plastic fittings that snap onto to the plastic line. I like the snap on fittings.

Check the water solenoid valves. On our Kenmore the valves had begun to stick causing the ice maker to fail as it is a timed cycle to fill the tray.

It is usually due to the ice maker door flap or chute that the ice comes out has an air leak. Shine a flashlight from inside to outside if light shines through then the doorflap may be bad and need to be replaced.

The automatic ice maker has a bale wire that detects if there is ice in the bucket. If it is full, the ice maker turns off.

The water hose has to start from a main water source. Run this hose underneath the mobile home any way you can until it reaches the ice maker and connects.
