Is India's democracy a weakness or strength for India?

well am for on this topic. i think democracy is a boon.coz it isn't reasonable that the progress of our country be dependent only in the hands of one person. if the ruler is not efficient then the whole country is damned which should not be the case and people aren't that dumb that they wont understand their own needs they will vote for development.i know today people aren't voting n our leaders are corrupt but change is coming though slowly n this doesn't give us a reason to throw the future of our country as well as ours into the hands of one person.democracy gives us an opportunity to be a part of the system n which we should utilise

What is the difference between schedule and non schedule bank?

Schedule banks are those which are included in the Second Schedule of Banking Regulation act 1965; others are non schedule banks. To be included in the Second Schedule, a bank (a) must have paid up capital and reserves of not less than Rs. 5 lakhs (b) it must also satisfy the RBI that its affairs are not conducted in a manner detrimental to the interests of its depositors. Schedule banks are required to maintain a certain amount of reserves with the RBI; they in return, enjoy the facility of financial accomodation and remittance facilities at concessional rates from RBI. The difference between schedule and non schedule is immaterial as the number of non schedule bank is almost nil.

How did the Persian empire influence Indian ciivilization and culture?

The Zoroastrians of Iran moved to India after the coming of Islam. In India the Zoroastrians are known as Parsees. Musicians Freddie Mercury and Zubin Mehta come from the Parsee community

Persia had only a tenuous hold on part of today's Pakistan. At the time of Alexander's takeover of that area, Chandragupta had already begun his drive west to take over all of India, so India was imposing itself on the Persians rather than the reverse. The real long term cultural influences were the Aryan backgrounds of both - the Indo-Iranian peoples.
