Is a stinkbug a vertebrate or invertebrate?

Do mealworms urinate?

no it has proven that meal worms can not smell

What enemies do assassin bugs have?

they dont really have any predators [like nothing hunts them] though enimies, probably most creatures/insects. ASSASSIN BUGS KILL ANYTHING EVEN HUMANS [THEY MAY NOT KILL U IF U WACK THEM OFF QUICKLY ENOUGH THOUGH U WILL get very sick .

some info abt assassin bug [this is all real], the species pselliopus barberi :

Assassin bug

Pselliopus Barberi is a species of Assassin Bug [yep that's right 'Assassin bug'(what an awesome name)] from the family of Reduviidae, though it is more commonly referred to as the 'Orange Assassin bug'. This certain species of Assassin Bug are from 12 - 16.0 mm in Length and are orange with black stripes on their head, antenna ,lower body and legs. They have six legs, two folded wings which overlap giving the back a characteristic shape, they also have a beak/nose[also called proboscis] which they use as there weapon, no feather or fur, no fins and no tail.

The Pselliopus Barberi can be found in some parts of the USA and Virginia[was not able to find more specific answers].They are usually found on shrubs, on plants, in crevices in the ground, sheltering under bark or rotten logs or stones and in cracks or holes in tress. There mainly anywhere where there's vegetation with lots of nutrients and other insects/creatures to feed on. They live in [I've already mentioned most of them] crevices in the ground, in peoples homes, some farmers keep them[for killing annoying pests/insects], logs, holes in trees, places with good vegetation and many other insects/creatures.

The Pselliopus barberi assassin bug[along with many other species] are known to eat many pest species, which is why many people keep them[especially farmers and gardeners]. They eat birds, lizards, and mammals. Basically anything they can get there nose into. It's a pretty good assassin since it fears nothing and fearlessly takes on animals more than twice, thrice or more than its size.

The assassin bug does not have many predators, though some of their predators are: some spiders, some birds, also have been reports of some snakes

Is a sailfish a invertebrate?

No, seahorses are vertebrates, because they have a spine.

Creatures with spines are classed as vertebrates. Creatures with no spines are classed as invertebrates.

Seahorses are fish which are closely related to pipefish.

What does an invertebrate lack?

Invertebrates do not have a vertebral column (spine), they do not have internal skeletons, they are missing central nervous systems with brains, and most of them don't have a distinguishable head with sensory organs at the front of their bodies. For more information see the related links.
An invertebrate is missing a spinal cord!

Why do sea anemone and a damselfish live together?

Symbiotic relationship, the anemone protects the fish from predators because of its stinging tentacles and the fish will return to the anemone with food to eat and spill some into the anemone which feeds it. The fish is protected by a slimy coat which stops it becoming anemone food.

What type of invertebrate is lobster?

Lobsters are crustaceans, a sea creature with an outer shell.

The shell is called an exoskeleton, they have no internal bones or spine.

This means they belong to the group known as invertebrates.

What problems does the sea urchin have in its habitat?

Sea Urchins role in the ecosystem is to provide a canopy habitat for larval, juvinile and some adult fish and invertebrates to hide and grow under until they are large enough to emerge safely. Sea Urchins are algae and detritis eaters which keep a balance in the benthic habitat by grazing on which if left can cause spikes in bacteria levels or in the case of coral reefs can smother coral. They move around and clean up the bottom. Lastly Sea Urchins are a food source for humans, fish and other animals. Sea Urchins can very easily overpopulate and if they do can wreak havoc in large areas in the ecosystem, particularly inside of Marine Reserves. Little is known about this phenomena of Sea Urchin Barrens other than that they can last for decades until a disease hits and there is a mass die off. In California, habitat restoration efforts are underway to eradicate these Sea Urchin Barrens or Urchin Dominated Areas by Santa Monica Baykeeper and the Orange County Baykeeper. It seems ironic that they would advocate for Marine Reserves in the MLPA process which in effect causes Sea Urchin Barrens that contradicts their efforts to restore the habitat that they have or about to destroy. Look on u tube for the Baykeepers videos and also for other sea urchin barrens videos.

What is the invertebrate group called if the leech is in it?

Leeches belong to the phylum Annelida (ringworms), like the common earthworm! They are very similar, they have the same bodyplan, rings and bristles.

How do cnidarians sense?

Medusae and complex swimming colonies can sense tilt and acceleration by means of chambers lined with hairs which detect the movements of internal mineral grains. If the body tilts in the wrong direction, the animal rights itself by increasing the strength of the swimming movements on the side that is too low. They also have "little eyes" known as ocelli, which can detect the direction from which light is coming. Although these probably do not form images, their lenses simply produce a clearer indication of the direction from which light is coming.

------

I have to add that most species of box jellyfish have four groups of two complex eyes, and either two or four simpler ocelli, for a total of up to twenty four eyes. The complex eyes are similar to our own and have corneas, lens, and retinas. Tests have demonstrated their ability to navigate obstacles and recognize colors by way of their vision, although it has yet to be demonstrated that they can track prey. Their nervous system is not centralized, but it is a much more complex nerve net than other species of jellyfish. So far, some primitive learning and memory ability has been demonstrated in experiments.

Animals which take on many forms during their life cycles are called?

Animals that take on many forms are called chameleons and shape shifters. Shape shifters can contort their bodies to resemble something else, and chameleons can change color to blend into their environments.

Why is a hissing cockroach an invertebrate?

The hissing cockroach is classified as an invertebrate because it has an external skeleton. All cockroaches have external skeletons. An external skeleton is called an "exoskeleton."

The word vertebrate is derived from the Latin, vertebrus, simply meaning, "jointed." By convention scientists classify only species of animals with internal backbones as vertebrates, though. People, or homo sapiens, for example are included in the vertebrate classification, along with cats, mice, dogs, horses and all other animals having an internal skeleton with a backbone.

As you can see, scientists like to classify a thing in many different ways. So in addition to being an invertebrate, the hissing cockroach--and all other cockroaches--are of the Kingdom Animalia, the Phylum Arthropoda, Class Insecta, and Order Blattodea. The Order name is derived from the Greek word, "blatta."

Are pumas invertebrates?

Pumas are mammals and have a spine, so are vertebrates.

Do sea urchins hibernate?

Anemones, also known as windflowers, are a diverse group, with various species blooming in spring and fall. Anemones display variation in their daily activity patterns, but it is not clear whether all of them sleep.
