How can IQ tests be 'well done' in the matter that there must be someone more intelligent to create a question that appears there and that person' s IQ can never be measured?

Intelligence tests measure the ability to carry out various kinds of reasoning consistently and accurately. They involve many questions, not just one, that measure spatial organization, verbal comprehension, mathematical ability and other factors. None of these require particularly high intelligence to devise, but they do require extensive training and understanding, both to construct and to interpret. Having said that, the writer (who has scored in the top one-half percentile on many IQ tests over the years) is not impressed by high IQ, nor are most social scientists. Performance in the real world is what counts. A "high IQ" simply means that you do well on tests, and many people have been discouraged from pursuing areas of study where they may well have been leaders because of IQ results.

What does an IQ of 76 indicate?

Well first of all, don't rely on these sites for your IQ score. Secondly, if you had an IQ of 76, you would have a tough time getting on the internet, which for you seems fairly easy. A person with a 76 IQ would even have difficulty operating a simple TV remote or pumping gas. To answer your question though, a true 76 IQ means a lifetime retirement! LOL In medical terms, that's borderline disabled.

Dont worry that's not you, so get on with your life!!

What country has the lowest IQ in the world?

If you go to the Wikipedia article linked below on IQ and the Wealth of Nations you will see that according to the table summarizing the I.Q. research discussed therein, the country with the world's lowest I.Q. is Equatorial Guinea (which apparently measured at a national average of 59). Through some additional searching online, I found that another country, Sao Tome and Principe, also had an average I.Q. of 59. Sao Tome and Principe is an island country in the Gulf of Guinea, so (assuming the research is trustworthy) the two countries with the lowest I.Q. in the world are right next to each other.

By ethnic group, Hong Kong Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews are frequently estimated to have an average I.Q. of around 107, although there will usually be a bit of variance in the results according to study.

Speaking of national averages by region, most of East Asia has consistently high I.Q. scores (104-107); at the other extreme, the average for all of sub-Saharan Africa appears to be around 70. India's average is said to be 81, but I am sure there must be quite a spread according to caste.

The Steve Sailer blog post linked below gives some very interesting statistics concerning the I.Q. scores of legal immigrants to the United States from various racial/ethnic backgrounds; according to the information quoted by Sailer, the average for legal Indian immigrants to the USA was 112.

Also linked below is an interesting map hosted by the VDARE website correlating national I.Q. averages to GDP.

What is the lowest human IQ recorded?

It would be extremely unethical for a person's IQ score to be revealed in a public forum like this. IQ scores are considered to be confidential. I can say the bottom or 'floor' of most standardized IQ tests (not that made up online crap) is an IQ of 20 or so. Adaptive behavior ratings scales can go lower, but there's really no point, because once you get to IQ's that low, there's virtually no real difference in performance. The lowest IQ I've ever gotten was for a kid with a 'smooth brain' meaning she had no wrinkles in her cerebral cortex, meaning no learning could take place. Since the processes that automate breathing and regulate autonomic functioning develop first, she could do that independently, but that's about it. So I had to administer the Developental Profile, which is a way of measuring cognitive ability by asking a caregiver questions about the person. The child at the age of 9 had the mental capacity of a 1 month old child, as she couldn't orient toward sound, roll over, etc. If that child is still alive, she would be about 18 now, and probably hasn't gained any new skills. However, because she is at the bottom of the Developmental Profile scale, her IQ would not change over time, even though she is further behind her peers than she was at 9.

I will say I've seen psychologists mess up and do the calculations wrong and give a child a negative IQ score! There is no rational '0' when talking about IQ scores, so a negative score makes no sense. We all laughed at that, because it's not statistically possible to have a "negative IQ" score.

Freud's theory of psychosexual development suggests that individuals go through stages focused on different erogenous zones of the body: oral, anal, phallic, latent, and genital. The resolution of conflicts at each stage influences personality development. Freud believed that unresolved conflicts or fixations at any stage could result in psychological issues later in life.
