IQ follows a normal distribution (bell curve) around the mean, usually 100. Since the normal distribution is horizontally aymptotic, technically a possibility exists for any IQ score. Therefore the concept of IQ is not like a test score even though IQs have to be obtained by taking multiple tests.

It means average intelligence, such as C+ grades. 100 is an average IQ score, and 105 is just barely above that.

IQ remains constant with age. A 13 year old kid will be compaired against his peers. The maximum recorded ratio IQ till date is 228. From what I know, 16/13 X IQ should give you a rough estimate of a 13 year old kids IQ in an adult IQ test. Some good tests are at writing.com or afreeiqtest.com. True IQ tests take 30 mins to 4 hours or so and are generally advised to be carried out in an administered environment. There are some good books to measure the same. An IQ above 160 is exceptional ( rarer than 1 in 30,000 ) and an IQ above 145 is good, good enough to take up any profession or any course in any college. A person with 130 can do most things in life provided he tries really really hard, although 130 is the definition of a Genius. In my opinion, anything below 130 is nothing special.
