Do Muslims believe in Jesus Christ?
Most simply, Muslims believe in Jesus, but not the way that Christians do. The answers below clarify this point.
Answer 1
Yes, Muslims believe in Jesus as a human being only. Muslims believe in Jesus as one of the five greatest prophets. The other four are: Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad. They don't believe in Jesus as God or son of god.
In the Quran, there is a complete chapter titled 'Maryam' (Mary) that confirms Maryam virgin birth. The Quran states the following on the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him):
(Remember) when the angels said, "O Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him (God), whose name is the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, revered in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (to God). He will speak to the people from his cradle and as a man, and he is of the righteous." She said, "My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal has touched me?" He said, "So (it will be). God creates what He wills. If He decrees a thing, He says to it only, 'Be!' and it is." (Quran, 3:45-47)
Jesus was born as miracle by the word and command of God "be" then "it is". This command is, as said in Quran, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said in Quran:
The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, "Be!" and he came into being. (Quran, 3/59)
During the prophetic mission of Jesus (peace be upon him), Jesus performed many miracles. God tells us that Jesus said:
"I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you the shape of a bird out of clay, I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by God's permission. I heal the blind from birth and the leper. And I bring the dead to life by God's permission. And I tell you what you eat and what you store in your houses...."(Quran, 3/49)
Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified. They believe that the enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) plotted and planned to crucify Jesus. However, God miraculously saved Jesus and raised him up to Him (to God). God, the all Powerful and the all Capable, put the likeness of Jesus (peace upon him) over another man. The enemies of Jesus (peace upon him) thought that the this other man is Jesus and they took him and crucified him. God has said:
...They said, "We killed the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but the likeness of him was put on another man (and they killed that man)... (Quran, 4/157)
The generally accepted Muslim view is that Jesus is still living in the body in the Heaven and that he will appear just before the Final Day , after the coming of the Mahdi, when the world will be purified of sin and unbelief. There will be a final death before the final Resurrection
It is worthy to emphasize that both Jesus (peace upon him) and Mohamed, or may be spelled Muhammad, (peace upon him) came to mankind to call for worshiping only and the only one God. Neither of them nor Moses came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one and only God. this doctrine that was brought by earlier prophets;including Noah, Abraham, Isac, Jacob, David, Solomon, and others. Both Jesus and Muhammad received the revelation from God to confirm and renew the doctrine of worshiping one (and only one) God.
It is true that Jesus is believed in by some Christians differently than Muslims. These differences, although resolved in Quran, but will be resolved on the Last Day of Judgment that both Christians and Muslims believe in. Until then, no need for conflicts and saying one side is true and the another side is wrong. Instead let us compete; as mentioned in Quran; in doing good deeds for mankind and nature
yes, only as a prophet
Yes they do, but not as the son of God. They respect him as a great teacher and refer to him as The Sinless One.
Answer 2
No, Muslims do not believe in Jesus Christ.
In Islam there is a version of Jesus and other Bible characters, but their personality and stories are distorted and not true.
Lets compare some basic Bible truths with Islamic beliefs.
Jesus is revealed as the Son of God in the Bible; in Islam it is a blasphemy to say that God has a Son.
In the Bible Jesus was crucified and died on the cross; in Islam Judas was crusified, instead of Jesus.
In the Bible Jesus rose from the grave the 3rd day, in Islam, Jesus neither died, neither rose from the grave, but disappeared.
And many many other differences.
In one word Jesus is not the same in the Bible and in Islam.
Answer 3 (Christian Answer)
Really and truly I think that Muslims believe in Jesus Christ. Times have changed and all people that call themselves true christians believe less in Jesus than Muslims do. So my answer to you is yes Muslims believe in Jesus.
Answer 4
yes, Muslims believe in Jesus as one of the five greatest prophets; namely Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). However, they don't believe in Jesus as God or son of God.
Yes Muslims do believe in Jesus, but they do not believe he is The Son of God, He is also a really important because we belive he will save us with imam mehdi at the end of the world.(shai belive) and will show the christains the right path
Yes, Muslims believe in Jesus as one of the five greatest prophets; namely Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). They believe in prophet Jesus Christ. Refer to related question below.
Answer 5
No. When Christians typically ask if a person "believe in Jesus Christ", they are not asking whether the person accepts that Jesus was a historic figure or even whether Jesus is a Prophet of God (which is what Islam holds). What they are asking is if the person believes that they can find salvation through the Sacrifice on the Cross by praying to Jesus Christ. In this regard, Muslims do NOT believe in Jesus Christ, as doing this would be a form of "shirk".
Answer 6
Yes, Muslims believe in Jesus as one of the five greatest prophets; namely Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). However, they don't believe in Jesus as God or son of God. Jesus never said that he is God or son of God. Qur'an says that Jesus; peace be upon him; warned his people of believing in another God except Allah or God the Creator and the only one God with no partner and no associate. Jesus; peace be upon him; is a great prophet who was born by God miracle as Adam was created. If Muslims don't believe in Jesus crossing or salvation, it doesn't mean that they don't believe in Jesus as a God prophet. It is not the case as in Judaism that they neither believe in Jesus as God or son of God nor as a prophet.
Answer 7
Yes. He is referred to as Isa in the Quran and hadith (narrations from the Prophet Muhammad). He is believed to be born of Mary, a virgin. He is considered one of the 5 greatest prophets, the others being Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad.

Yeah of course Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet from god ,, not as son of god ...they also loves him and Mary the virgin .. in their quran god ( Allah ) praised both of them ..

Answer 9
Muslims believe in Jesus, but they do not believe He is the Son of God nor do they believe He is the Savior. Christians believe both and that is the reason they are going to heaven.

The Shiites believed that the shah was?
a cruel and anti Islam King
Shia and Sunni have mostly same beliefs and both believe in fundamental beliefs of Islam. Today there is up to 260 sects in Islam that are in two main categories of shia and sunni.
the conflict of shia and sunni has been always amplified by world Imperialism to prevent Islam from gaining power.
Shia believes in Allah, prophet and all fundamentals of Islam.
Shia pray 5 times a day but usually do the 2, 3 and 4, 5 pray together and so may seem they do only 3 pray a day. there is some differences in details of pray like genuflect (for shia should be on a stone or part of earth and for sunni on carpet or floor ).
shia believe after death of prophet God selected the successive for prophet who is the political leader of Muslim community and people can not and does not the right to selected it.
Shia believes the Caliph (Representative of God in earth) is selected only by God and can not be selected by people because God said in Koran: "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority" (Quran 2:30) or "O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth" (Quran 38:26) also other verses.
Shia believes such verses means only God can select an Islamic political leader (Caliph).
In Shia Islam Caliphs after prophet are 12 Imams and all of them are the same and have no mistake and have the knowledge of everything (not absolute knowledge like knowledge of God) and they hear all sayings and even thinks of all humans after even after their death by permission of God and they are intermediates between God and human Shia Muslims always support them and forgive their lives for them.
Shia Muslims do not consider selection of Abubakr as Caliph by people valid because God did not select him. They believe God ordered prophet to declare people that Ali is selected as successor of prophet and prophet did this mission many times during his prophet-hood and mainly in Ghadir event after last Hajj of his life at a 3-4 hour speech in front of 120,000 Muslims at Ghadir in hot desert after 2 days stop of long caravan for gathering and 3 days after speech for congratulations and homage of Muslims to Ali. Islam at that time had high power in world and Some companions had high interest in leadership position after prophet. Muslims knew that it is the final Hajj of prophet (predicted by prophet) and were going along with prophet to hear what prophet says at end of his life. Shia believes Ghadir event is the most important event of Islam and is mentioned in Koran in many verses like "Today" (اليوم) in verse 5:3 of Quran is the day of Ghadir. Or Verse 5:67 (O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith) is revealed at Ghadir day and is about declaring political leadership of Ali after prophet.
Both Sunni and Shia Muslims accept happening of Ghadir event But different interpret. Some Sunni writers tried to reject the event of Ghadir as declare of leadership of Ali and said at Ghadir prophet only wanted to say Ali is my friend and no one should bother him. Ali had 3 different missions to Yemen by prophet during 10 years and in 2 of them some companions of prophet had some conflicts with Ali and and prophet said some sayings about Ali to solve conflicts and some sunni writers have mixed stories of missions of Ali to Yemen with story of Ghadir to prove Ghadir event is not about Leadership of Ali and is not important.
Shia scholars believe some Sunni writers have changed and deviated historical evidences about political leadership of Ali in old historical books and republished them to destroy evidences of leadership of Ali from old Sunni books.
The famous Shia book Al-Ghadir (الغدير) by Allameh Amini is a collection of evidences and proofs for Ghadir Events written after referring to 100,000 Sunni books and full reading of 10,000 sunny books. Allameh Amini is a famous Shia scholar and spent 40 years of his life in travelling to access original old Sunni books in libraries in different countries to write this 20 volume book only from Sunni books and not using any Shia book. Some Sunni scholars tried to reply this book but then said if we want to reply this book we should first destroy all books of ourselves.
Shia doctrine have root in Karbala tragedy. When tragedy of Karbala happened most of Iranians understood there is two different kinds of Islam and after happening of Karbala tragedy most of Iranians became followers of "Ahl al-Bayt" and forgive their lives for them like what they did in Iranian Revolution and Iran-Iraq War. Shia Muslims have at least 120,000 Hadith (saying) from The Fourteen Infallibles that is the base of Shia Islam along with Quran. Shia believes according to " Hadith of the two weighty things" The Fourteen Infallibles are the only valid interpreters of Quran and sayings of them are from God because they are Representative of God in earth and they do not say anything from themselves. Shia believes 12th of them (Mahdi) is alive and because people have killed all 11 Imams before him, he is in hide like Jesus and will come out of hide toghether with Jesus when people become ready and want to accept his leadership. All 11 Imams have been killed and during their life thy all have been in prison or under hard control of government to not have any political action. They never had enough serious followers to can get political power. Among them only the sixth Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq was relatively free in his life to have only scientific activities (but banned from any political action) and so only he is known in west because he established university and had students from all over the world. Westerns know him as a polymath: an astronomer, alchemist, Imam, Islamic scholar, Islamic theologian, writer, philosopher, physician, physicist and scientist. He was also the teacher of the famous chemist, Jābir ibn Hayyān (Geber), and of Abū Ḥanīfa, the founder of the Hanafi school of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. He never wanted be a famous man and only shared his knowledge with who wanted to learn. Some researchers consider his teachings the root cause of renaissance.
Sunni Muslims also accept Mahdi and his worldwide leadership as Caliph of God in earth at end of world. There is a famous Hadith from prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that Mahdi at hide is like sun behind cloud, he is hidden from people but people receive his benefits. Shia Muslims say some faithful believers have connection with Mahdi and use his knowledge. Shia Muslims believe that it is proved at least 1000 persons have had connection and talk with Mahdi during his hide period but Any one having relation with Mahdi keep it and does not declare it in public until is alive.

It is the same as the towers of traditional churches that indicates Christian architecture. For mosques, it is a matter of Islamic architecture and is symbolic indication of mosques.
It not just a symbolic item. Everything created for purpose. As churches minaret used to locate the bell, minaret in mosques also use for the signal purpose.
In more recent times, the main function of the minaret was to provide a vantage point from which the muezzin can call out the adhan, calling the faithful to prayer.
In most modern Mosques, the adhan is called not in the minaret, but in the musallah, or prayer hall, via a microphone and speaker system. However, the minaret still a good place to locate the speaker.
What role does Jesus play for Muslims?
The Muslims believe in all the holy Prophets (May peace be upon them all). They do believe in Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) a Prophet. He is also called by the Name of Messiah in the holy Qur'an. He was miraculously born to Virgin Marry (AS). He performed many miracles.
The Jews turned against him and tried to get him crucified at the hand of the Roman Governor, but Almighty God raised him alive to heavens.
He will descent from heavens before Qiyamat. He will marry, have children, die a natural death, and will be buried near the grave of the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He will rise up on the Day of Judgment with himIf a ahle sunnat girl converts herself to ahle tashee after marriage?
in this case there is differences among the representative man of religion or Mujtahedun. but according to the most opinion of them, there is no obstacle in marring betwenn a shiiah women and sunni men.

What is spritiuality in Islam?
The soul is the seat of spiritual development is Islaam, a characteristic it shares with most of the major religions of the world. However the understanding of 'soul' is much more pronounced in Islaam. The Qur'aan (the Holy book of Islaam, believed to be the word of God by its followers) mentions three stages of jouney for the soul: 1. Nafs-ul-ammaara - The passionate and addicted soul- This stage in characterised by the individual giving precedence to its desires over the Truth. Does it not recognise its Lord? It does, but fails to give Him His Right. As the Prophet Joseph (Peace be upon him) said when he was declared free from a crime he was imprisoned for: "And I free not myself (from the blame). Verily, the (human) self is inclined to evil (ammara), except when my Lord bestows His Mercy (upon whom He wills). Verily, my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (al-Qur'aan 12:53) 2. Nafs-ul-lawwama - The self-accusing soul.Refer al-Qur'an 75:2 This is the stage where the soul has understood and accepted that it has no way to salvation except through obedience to Allaah and abiding by the principles of Islaam. However, it is lacking in either strenght of conviction, fighting constantly (spiritual jihaad you may say)against the tides of desire and doubt. 3. Nafs-ul-mutma'innah - The content soul. This is the stage when the fight is over, the battle is won and the booty is secure. The soul is content with its Lord, with His Decrees and the Lord is pleased with him. This is the pinnacle of spirituality in Islaam, the soul that is subdued, the love of its Lord overwhelming the love of anything and everything, even itself. al-Qur'aan 89: 27-30 -- (It will be said to the pious - believers of Islamic Monothesim on the Day of Judgement): "O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction (Nafsul Mutma'innah) ! (27) "Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (unto Him)! (28) "Enter you, then, among My (honoured) slaves, (29) "And enter you My Paradise!" How many centuries after the Christian Church was Islam founded?
Islam is actually the oldest Divine message from God to the mankind considering its major concept of monotheism; the belief & the worship of the Creator, the one & only one God with no-one associated to Him. All the prophets had called for this message. But the message of the current Islamic religion began in the 7th century, again to assure the same message of all of the prophets who preceded Muhammad PBUH.
What do Christians believe will happen after death?
Different people in Christendom believe different things. But that's not the point. Who cares what a particular group believes? - - We should be concerned about 'WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACHhappens at death?' Now we're talkin'.
Many people believe when they die, they don't really die at all. They believe that something inside us keeps living. They believe they will be 'TRANSFERRED' to a 'heaven world'. They believe that the 'non-believers' will be tormented eternally in a fiery hell.
But Jehovah's people believe what the Bible really teaches. Genesis 3:19 states: "For dust you are and to dust you will return."
Obviously, before we had life, we were dust. There was no evidence of us whatsoever. When we die, that's where any sign of us would return, from whence we came; we go back to the dust. That's what God's Word states.
Ezekiel 18:4 clearly states that 'the soul that sins, it itself shall die'. Therefore even 'souls' DIE. That's what the Bible really teaches.
The concept of an immortal soul comes from pagan peoples, not from the Bible. The religions that call themselves Christian have adopted this pagan teaching and pawned of off on its masses.
Scholars and Theologians are lately beginning to understand the truth also.
Examples:
1) Robert Koch, Catholic professor of Old Testament in Rome, writes: "The soul does not exist as an independent mass in the body, as though in a prison, from which it would be liberated at death. The 'soul' is the man in his totality. Man does not have a soul, he is a soul."-Teologia della redenzione in Genesi 1-11 (1966), p. 69.
2) "The concept of 'soul,' meaning a purely spiritual, immaterial reality, separate from the 'body,' . . . does not exist in the Bible."-Georges Auzou, Professor of Sacred Scripture, Rouen Seminary, France.
3) As to the doctrine of purgatory, the New Catholic Encyclopedia frankly admits: "The Catholic doctrine on purgatory is based on tradition, not Sacred Scripture."-Vol. 11, p. 1034.
Unfortunately the religions themselves have not changed, but continue to teach this pagan doctrine of an 'immortal soul'; despite what their own scholars have researched and published.
