The Model 37 was the "workhorse" of the company, and was made in many different gauges and for different uses - i.e., a "riot gun", trench gun", deerslayer, turkey gun, etc., etc. Each of those variables impacts the value, just as does the condition of the gun. If you are talking about the "standard" 12 GA Model 37 Featherweight for general use, and it is in good condition, I see prices in the $150 - $250 range on Gunbroker.com. You might want to log on and see what the market is offering. What Ithaca 37? I guess in general you can figure 50 to 2000 bucks...

Nitro Specials were not graded as they were all "Field Grade" shotguns. Your serial number would be in the first year of production, 1921 according to one source but 1922 in another. (Pay me for the research time and I'll find out which one is correct.) I suspect that the 1o-o's indicate the choke, but don't know how Ithaca's code. For a 12 gauge, if a dime fits the muzzle loosly, it's open; snug, it's modified; won't go in, full.

Utica Firearms was a trade name used by the Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on firearms they retailed circa 1900. It could have been manufactured by any of a dozen makers. Like any other 100-year-old tool or machine, parts are where you find them. You may be able to get parts that fit (or can be made to fit) from a local gunsmith or at a gunshow, but no one will have a catalog number for "Utica firing pins".

It all depends on what you want to do with it. The XL-900 is in my eyes the best auto loader ever made (20gauge with slug barrel) for deer hunting.I have been trying to purchase one for many years.There are not alot of these guns for sale(everone who has them will not sell them). I think a fair market price for one in good condition is around $500.

Some of the 900XL shotguns have the stainless plating on the actions that include engraving. Usually the value will increase by 100-150 dollars given the condition of the gun.

Yours is a bit unusual if it has damascus barrels but no exterior hammers. Shooters want fluid steel barrels, decorators want side hammers, and few collectors want hardware-store guns, so I'd say unusual is not a good thing. Even in NRA Excellent condition (98%+ original finish) I doubt if you could get over $200.

Hundreds of thousands of similar guns were imported from Belgium c. 1893-1913. Most were marked with trade names instead of the manufacturer's name. There is very little collector interest in these, so there has been little research into their origins. Many of the names have been documented to a US retailer or importer/wholesaler but very few of the makers have been identified. The laminated barrels were intended for black powder shells and modern ammunition should not be used. Although it may be priceless as a family heirloom, the usual market value is about $125-$150 as a mantle decoration.

Let's start at the top. What is the action: double barrel, single barrel breech loading, self-loading (semi-auto), or pump action? What markings are on the gun (i.e., model name/number, serial number). Does it have a vent rib? What choke? What is its condition ("unfired" means very little, since all guns are proof fired at the factory). Do you have the box and papers? All of this info is necessary to even make a guess over the internet.

If it truly has not been fired and is oiled and blued,probably around $500 to$600.

Never. Falls Arms guns were made by the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company c. 1886-1916. "Nitro" would indicate that it was manufactured for the new smokeless powder shells, so it would have been made no earlier than the late 1890s.

A serial number range and general condition statement will help estimate the value. You don't need to give full serial number, ie....302xxx

I don't think Stevens was using the Riverside name as early as 1903 but they probably were still using that patent date into the 1930's. If the gun has fluid steel barrels, it could still be a hunter's gun but the rabbit ears attract Cowboy Action Shooters and interior decorators. Any of these groups will pay $100 to $250 depending on condition.

Value is totally dependent on condition. Is there any case color left on the receiver? Is the "good bluing" original, or a re-blue? What about the wood? "Some rust," especially if there is pitting, can be a real problem. "Condition" to a collector is original appearance, not shootability. What guage? The less common, the more valuable.

Still, a Grade 2 Ithaca double in 12 guage and 10% condition is still booked at $335.00. In 80% (assuming "some rust" means surface only), it is worth $800.00. Take the gun to a reputable gunsmith for an appraisal.

I can not give any information on the value of the gun but I did just acquire a similar gun and I just want to add some information; this was before they "blued" guns they were actually "browned" and my understanding of this is they would let the gun rust to a certain degree and then seal it. However many people who didn't know better sanded the rust off therefor ruining the original finish, I would strongly suggest leaving the finish alone. But as stated the best thing to do would be to take it to a dealer and see if the finish is original and get an approximate value from them. Also just so you're aware this model of gun is a Damascus Twist and if you're unsure what that is just ask, but the main point of this is don't ever shoot the gun as it could explode.

We need more info. Is the single trigger selective or not? Does it have a vented rib and/or automatic ejectors? How about a beavertail forearm? The first single trigger used by Ithaca wa made by the Infallible Trigger Co. and was offered after 1914 in the Flues variation. That was replaced by the New Ithaca Double in 1926. In both variations, Ithaca produced 8 different grades, which all have different values. And in every case, value is completely dependent upon original condition. In short, your shotgun, in working order, is worth somewhere between $100 and $40,000.
