What is the value and age of a 12 gauge Amadeo Rossi Stagecoach double barrel serial T84118?
Rossi made 2 variations of the double barrel shotguns. The Amadeo "Coach gun" with the rabbit ear hammers and the "Squire" double barrel which was the hammerless version. The age of both guns are from 1968-1989. The value of each is about the same. Ranges from $125 - $150 Depending on value. Not a very valuable gun, but a good shooter. Rossi is no longer in business. They changed there name to Braztech. They are still made in South America, decent cheap gun.

Repair of an Iver Johnson .32 caliber revolver that won't eject the cartridges. "1. Take it to a qualified gunsmith. 2. The gunsmith will find defects in and note which cylinder bores are defective, take the cylinder to a qualified welder to add small amounts of weld to one or more of the 5 cylinders, the gunsmith will rebore those cylinders, and reblue the cylinder. Cost is way more than the gun is worth unless you're awfully sentimental and/or rich. The cylinder will look real nice. You could then spend more to reblue the entire gun." 3. Punch out the empty cartridges with a tool every time. 4. Trade in. 5. Store it forever and let someone else deal with it upon inheritance. 6. I got one too, in pretty good condition, from ca. 1931, me and my sons have shot it a few times, those old cartridges from 1931 are now gone, a couple duds, bought new cartridges and keep it for home defense in case of 4 legged or 2 legged predators.
For a completely different answer to this question As an experienced gunsmith that specializes in these old pistols I apologize for disagreeing but welding on a cylinder for any reason is extremely dangerous and has little or nothing to do with extraction. Many of these old revolvers have simply lost a small part called an extractor hook. The barrels on these guns are very easily removed by one screw and the extractor hook falls out. Turn the gun upside down and look where the barrel pivot screw goes through the frame and barrel. You should see five layers sandwiched together. Two layers of the frame. Two layers of the barrel. And sandwiched at the center is the extractor hook. If there is an open space like on most of these old guns the extractor hook has been lost. I have a dozen or more of these antique break action revolvers laying around the shop and almost all of them are missing this simple part because it is easily lost. If that part is there then the problem is likely with the extractor. A star shaped piece set into the cylinder that pushes the spent cartridges out. The most likely problem is that the screw fitting on the end of the rod that goes through the cylinder has fallen off and been lost. The problem with restoring these old guns is that they can be very loose from much use. There are several easy ways to tighten them up for many more years of service but that is another subject. This problem sounds like simply a missing part that can be easily found on the internet and dropped right in.
Iver Johnson did use the 'EXCEL' trade name for some hardware store guns. However, the guns are earlier than the more common Iver Johnson Champion model and Champion barrels will not fit the EXCEL marked frames. You will have to keep searching the internet, eBay, etc, and hope that somebody puts one out for sale. sales@countrygunsmith.net
The serial number is located on the left side of the frame behind the trigger. If you simply do an internet search for 'Iver Johnson TP22' you will bring up multiple pages with pictures of that model. sales@countrygunsmith.net
What is the age of Iver Johnson 38 serial 73329?
Iver Johnson can not be dated simply by serial number. There is considerable overlap and even repeating over the years. Would need to know exactly how is marked, including the additional markings under the grips.
What is the age and value of an Iver Johnson model 504 Sidewinder 8-shot 22 caliber pistol?
How about 50A instead of 504? These were made from the early 1960's to 1975. They rarely get over $100 even in top condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Maybe Country Gunsmith can narrow the age down a bit from the serial, but IJ made shotguns that match that description from 1870 to 1978. I don't know if IJ serialized their shotguns before it was required by law in 1968, but most manufacturers did not. If it's relatively new and in excellent condition, it could be worth $100 as a shooter. If it's really old it will bring about the same as a mantle decoration, especially if that outside hammer is mounted on the side. It was manufactured in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. -- IJ Shotguns -- Iver Johnson serialized their shotguns WAY back. Unfortunately, there does seem to be much rhyme or reason to the serialization, and dating an IJ is difficult without having it in hand and even then only generally. sales@countrygunsmith.net
It's value depending on condition ranges from $100 to $200 dollars.

How do you field strip a 22 caliber Iver Johnson US carbine?
Ensure the gun is unloaded. Remove the magazine. Pull back the operating slide and visually inspect the barrel to make sure there is not a round chambered. Loosen the screw on the band on the forward end of the stock and slide the band forward. Remove the hand guard. Remove the screw just behind the trigger guard. Remove the stock. Pull back on the operating slide spring and hold it while pulling the operating slide spring guide out of trigger housing. Carefully relieve the tension on the spring, then slide the spring guide out. Remove the trigger housing retaining screw and the two trigger housing retaining pins. Lift the receiver away from the trigger housing. Remove the operating slide by sliding it forward. Lift out the recoil plate. (Careful – it is under tension from the firing pin spring). Remove the bolt and firing pin piece and slide them apart. You have now field stripped your Iver Johnson .22 cal. carbine.
What is the age of a Trailsman Model TM22PB?
The Trailsman was introduced by Iver Johnson in 1986. If you are a new buyer, beware! These do not have a good reputation except as a plinking pistol. From all I've heard, the sights are not adjustable, and field stripping/cleaning requires a steady hand and a saint's patience.

Where can you find parts for a 22 LR Page-Lewis Arms Company Model D?
Parts for this and many other "Boy's Rifles" are unavailable in normal commerce. Possible sources are:
1) Locate another. Most, even Remington & Stevens, perhaps the most common/collected, are found in poor condition and therefore relatively inexpensive.
However most were produced in large enough numbers to be found if diligent search is made.
2) Any competent gunsmith should be able to make any part needed for MOST of these, in view of the simple design and construction, 'though perhaps at too dear a cost, since (with few exceptions) they're not extensively collected, which is the primary deteminant of value.
Winchester model 770 30-06 bolt is this a single shot rifle also whats it worth in great shape?
well I'm not sure the exact price in great shape but i can pretty much guarentee you that if you want to sell it for an even semi reasonable price I'll buy it!!!! my grandfather bought one brand new for little over $300 back when moby dick was a guppy and then passed it to my father before his passing and then in the winter of 1994 he passed it again to me. and unfortunately we lost the rifle, among many others, in a house fire the following July. that rifle killed more deer in it's 30 or so years than you would believe.the 770 in my experience is the most accurate and one of the best build hunting rifles i have ever had the pleasure of firing. and now after a few years in the U.S.M.C. as a militarypoliceman and now returned home in the backwoods of Pennsylvania and now in the reserves i would like to again find one of theese fine firearms back in my posession to oneday pass to my son as it was passed to me. unfortunately the 770 30-06 is as rare as hens teeth usually all you find is the .270. i will reserch how much they are going for theese days and try to get back to you with a price i ask you to please e-mail me at monte_carlo_1983@hotmail.com with your e-mail and maybe we touch base that way

Are Iver Johnson shotguns well regarded?
IJ shotguns were always well-made and dependable, but inexpensive guns. They did not go the extra mile to make a truly fine firearm with perfect fit and finish that would make them stand out in a crowd.
I received an, old at the time, Iver Johnson 12 Ga "Matted Rib" with 32 inch, full choke barrel, for my 12th birthdayin 1947. That gun has never missed a beat, whether hitting Jack rabbits in the Mojave Desert or cotton tails and pheasants in the fields of Iowa. I've used about every load, including modern high- base in it. I believe it to be as good as any high-dollar gun. My four sons have all used it in their shooting and hunting education. The only complaint ever regestered against it was when it "kicked like a mule" and knocked down a younger and smaller cousin in 1950.That was one of the many times I slipped in a load of oo buck. We after doves at the time and had been using 71/2 or 8. It' still in good shape and looks very good. I reblued it and refinished the stock about i952.The serial number is 31500E. I looked it up in a Stoeger gun catalog a long time ago and saw that it cost a whopping $7.50 when new. I believe it was made about 1895. but I'm not sure of that!I'll probably pass it on to one of my Grandsons someday, since I got it from my Grandfather. Richard Stover
Additional info---When the British Purchasing Commission was after anything in the US that went bang, in 1940-41, it bught a quantity of 38 cal IJ revolvers. However, they were not wellr e garded and considered unsound and at times unsafe. Hence they were not issued to British (or British European allies)but to the various Police forces in Britain. Police at that time were not routinely armed but a PC could, whilst on night duty, simply claim a pistol when goiing on patrol, if they felt likely to be at threat - in London at least.
