Kryptonite is a rock from a fictitious Superman story. But there is a mineral found in 2007 in siberia that has the exact same elements as the fictional stuff. all except flouride the element is nicknamed kryptonite but cannot be called that for the element of krypton so it is named jadarite for the town nearest to where it was found.

All of the following affect all Earth 1 (main continuity) Kryptonians, including Superman. Green kryptonite affects Superboy (Kon-el, who is only half Kryptonian), but I am not sure about the other colors where he is concerned. Green Kryptonite causes debilitating pain and illness, significant loss of powers, and eventually death. Red Kryptonite causes all kinds of strange, random effects, from aggression to apathy, power loss, and unexpected shape-shifting Gold Kryptonite causes loss of powers by removing the Kryptonian's ability to process yellow sunlight. Originally this was a perminant effect, but in more recent continuity the duration of power loss is given at 15 seconds. Blue Kryptonite is the Bizarro version of Green Kryptonite. It affects Bizarro the same way Green K affects Superman. It has benificial effects on Earth 1 Kryptonians. Black Kryptonite has the ability to split a Kryptonian into two beings, one good and one evil. White Kryptonite destroys plant life within a certain radius, whether the plants are Kryptonian or not. Pink Kryptonite apparently causes Superman to hit on Jimmy Olsen. It was only used once, in the second Supergirl series, and was probably intended as a joke.

No other potential hazards are Red Suns (Like that of Krypton), supernatural magic, and certain types of Kryptonite have different effects- White K is a maximum defoliant and was used to save Superman"s life in l968 during the Virus-X crisis, If I remmeber cxoreclty Supergirl rose to the occasion and got some White K to cure his Kryptonian Leprosy. White K works something like White Phosphorous in real life and moreso it can wipe out all forms of Plant Life, Kill or cure! It worked with the Virus X!

It depends on who is writing Batman at the time but I do recall a few instances where Superman has provided Batman with a sample of Kryptonite as a safeguard just in case he goes out of control and needs to be stopped. I think we can assume that Batman carries it around with him like a hot girl with a can of mace. Just in case.

In several instances Batman has had to fight a Kryptonian and in some of those circumstances he releases a hidden latch on his belt. Then the belt buckle opens to reveal a piece of Kryptonite inside. Again, this depends on the version and author.

However, with the exception of versions w/o Superman, Batman indisputably has a plan to kill Superman 'just in case'. THis can range from Kryptonite to modifying the Batmobile's headlights to be red sun lamps.

A professional installer has a by-pass kit[w/thin gauge wire]. My concern is what to bo about the key lock cylinder? If I still need to buy a a dealer cylinder, I found prices for aboyut $250.00 w/o installation. So if your Tanoe has a reasonable priced cylinder and sensor[at any local parts store,] I'd replace those items. For me I'm going to use a push button to start the car untile I find a used cylinder lock and ignition switch.Hope this is of some help to you, aagsr

I wouldn't say he is doing it on purpose but i would say he realizes what he is saying. He may not realize how much it hurts you and I think you should confront him about that otherwise the relationship is at stake with a problem like this.

The main thing to realize is that this guy isn't necessarily evil incarnate, but he most likely has a psychological disposition that causes him to treat you poorly. It's important to understand that he may not intend to be mean, although it's possible that he does. From my experience, any kind of verbal abuse is uncontrollable, and is only remedied through therarpy.
