Radio problems were a common issue on freelanders at the dealership Im employed at.Most of the time you just need to replace the whole radio,but there were some exceptions.there is a FM amplifier on some models depending on what style Freelander you have(SE HSE)Like I said though its usually the radio and they run about $800 if you don't have any kind of extended warrenty.I suggest you go buy a radio at best buy!
