Leprechauns, in Irish folklore, are always encountered as males.
This does not say that there are not female leprechauns - there might be, but they were never reported as having dealings with 'humans'.
The word is not exclusively male, being derived from the Irish for "small body" - which is asexual.
People believe that there must have been female leprechauns or how else could they reproduce, but as the males encountered are always deemed to be of great age, perhaps they never reproduce. Their 'genealogy' is unrecorded in folklore and they may well have 'just happened'.
According to lore, Leprechauns like gold, rainbows, riddles and pranks. They like the colors green and silver. Their preferences are not necessarily in that order.

Where are leprechauns from and where do they live?
A Leprechaun is a type of fairy in Irish Folklore.
Like other fairy creatures, leprechauns have been linked to the Tuatha Dé Danann of Irish mythology. But the leprechauns are far more ancient than the fabled Tuatha. In fact, they might just have been the very first people ever in Ireland (9000 BC). They were in fact Capoids from Morocco, who were very short people. They probably came to Ireland for gold prospecting, as well as hunting and gathering; in those days in Ireland, you could walk three feet in any direction and stub your toe on a big piece of gold! They probably came to Ireland via Scotland, where they are called the Brownies. Pygmies from Africa went to Germany via Sicily 80,000 years ago, where they no doubt had dustups with Neanderthal man. When they intermarried with Capoids (and probably Neanderthals), they became much lighter, and are probably the basis for the famous Elves and Dwarves!

I am from Ireland, near the mourne mountains. In the mournes there are huge amounts of forestation. Before you ask leprechauns are real. I have seen one with my own two eyes. The overall perception of a leprechaun is a very small ( about 5 inches) old man that wears all green, plays either the flute, the fiddle or the bodran.
This is very much true. Also leprchauns smoke pipes, sing really squeeky and dance Irish jigs. THIS IS NO LIE!!
Leprechauns are not real.
small, green, evil
Three feet tall. Well, probably. They are mythical figures so there is no 'objective' measurement, but the name means "small-bodied' - and not 'dwarf'-bodied - and literary and folklore references describe them as either 'pygmees' (who are 5 feet tall on average) or specifically mention 3 ft. Their earliest mention is in a story where three of them drag a full-sized Irish warrior into the sea, so that too indicates a not too tiny height.
What do teenagers usually spend on?
It all depends on the teenager. Some choose to spend money right as they make it and some save for something they want. I am 17 and I spend about $200 a week some going towards a payment plan, some going towards other people I owe money, and some going towards food. It also depends on how much money you earn.
