Not sure about other places, but I'm in the US, and had to buy mine on ebay. There is a version in the States called the Neon, but I've only been able to find it here in green or blue (I wanted pink). My seller was in Hong Kong, but the phone appears to be from the UK. It works fine in the US, but it depends entirely on where you live and who your carrier is. Be sure to check with your carrier to find out what frequencies they support in your area, as it's a tri-band phone, and a lot of areas are still 850mhz (if you live in a metropolitan area, however, this shouldn't be an issue).

i have the g cookie and my mum has the viewty. the lg cookie is alot slimmer and lighter , the menus are the same , although the lg viewty has a better camra. it deohends what you use your fone for reslly
