Hydrolic suspension, careful with that though, there are places that have strict regulation prohibiting that type of equipment and activity, such activities could be considered reckless, and could carry a hefty fine like drag racing, and reckless driving, big trouble, you dont want to lose your license over something so foolish

I have the same car....I had a new vinyl roof put on.....I had it done at Panama City,Florida.....They had to get the vinyl from somewhere else....But I am sure any company that does this has to get the vinyl from somewhere, so if you take it to someone that does vinyl roofs, they should be able to match the color. It could possibly be a little lighter or darker than the original. But we have to realize that the color that we have may not be in stock anymore. But mine looks great.
Where is the headlight auto dimmer feature on the Lincoln Mark V?

How do you program a integrated garage door opener in a 79 Lincoln Continental?
I'm assuming that your Continental is similar to my Mark V. That option came with a receiver that would be mounted in the garage and wired to the door opener. Push the button in the visor, sends a signal to the receiver in the garage, door opens. I've never seen both halves of the thing, but given the 1970's technology, I doubt there were any "rolling codes" or anything else digital going on. It was probably a simple RF signal on a pre-set frequency that triggered the receiver, and maybe your neighbor's door too, if he had a Lincoln as well!
Mine says 16 degrees and yes I believe you do.
If I am not mistaken the headlight sheilds are ran off a vaccuum so most likely you have a leak so the remain open.
I presume you are asking about the valve timing, not the ignition timing for the 460cid engine. In theory, you could just install a timing set (crank and cam gears, new timing chain) for a 1972 engine. It will fit, and the cams are the same. This will do a couple of things. 1. The car will no longer meet emissions standards. (This is no joke. Did you know keeping your '77 tuned up will let it meet the emission inspection "cut points" for a 1994 model?) 2. Low end torque will improve, but the power band will move lower. My reference lists a difference of only 6 HP from '72 to '77, and the '72 had a higher compression ratio. They did more than just retard the cam. What will the job involve? Removing all of the accessories, water pump, timing cover, etc. Buy a Haynes or Chilton's manual for your car for step-by-step instructions.
Where there a factory 1978 Lincoln mark v convertible?
No. I was at several Licoln Mercury dealers 1977 to 1979 and did in fact see a Continental Mark V Convertible. On the rear fenders were the script St. Tropez. These were made by aftermarket conversion shops such as AHA or American Custom Coach. I remember the window price tag for the 1978 Mark V convertible at $35,000. An absolute fortune at the time. On Ebay motors these show up from time-to-time usually for $12,000 to $20,000.

How many designer series Bill Blass Lincoln Continental Mark 4's were produced in 1976?
Ford didn't break down the numbers but about 56,000 Mark IV's were produced in 1976. A designer car cost about $3000 more than a standard one so I would guess about one in ten were Designer cars.

How Many Lincoln Mark V 1977-1979 cars were ordered without a vinyl roof?
Few.
It was an option to delete the vinyl roof. The vent windows were also a delete option. These delete options add no value to the vehicle as mileage, originality and condition, not options, is where the value in these cars are found in today's collector car market.
Was there a convertible Lincoln Mark 5 available by any after market coach builders in 1977?
Yes. I do not remember their name but I believe they were out of Austin, Texas. I've seen one and that is one fine looking automobile with a convertible top. Yes, at least five companies made them in 1977, 1978, and 1979. Southern & International Lincoln Custom Co. (SILCCO), Andy Hotton Associates (AHA), and Maloney were the three big ones, but a company in Dallas made a version called the St. Tropez.
Vinyl is a synthetic resin material. It can be made strong enough for home siding, or thin and pliable enough for car seats and tops.
