Where does carbon dioxide exerted by the lungs come from?
From the mitochondria ( powerhouse of cells ) in cells that produces energy from oxygen inhaled and relieves carbon dioxide through osmosis in blood stream which then is exchanged by lungs for oxygen we inhale and the cycle continues.

How are the lungs adapted for gas exchange?
-The alveoli give the lungs a large surface area for absorbing oxygen and excreting carbon dioxide.
-Alveoli have thin walls so that gasses diffuse easily across them.
-The cappliaries which have thin walls make it so that substances can easily pass into and out of the blood.
This is all in the lung.
it also has adapted to relese a deadly neuro toxin when threatened by the kidney for its lunch money.
it does this onvoluntarily which is really annoying becuase you kill your self without even choosing to. this takes quite a while to kill you.
Many people have found the effects it does but are to arrogant to see the truth and just say that it is smoking that has caused it but smoking does no damage it was in fact the neuro toxin.

What does THC do to your lungs?
Thc itself is not harmful to lugs it is actually healthy. According to researchers, THC fights lung cancer by curbing epidermal growth factor (EGF), a molecule that promotes the growth and spread of particularly aggressive non-small cell lung cancers. It seems to go to receptor sites on cells and inhibit growth.
What are the symptoms tuberculosis have on the lungs?
Mycobacterium tuberculosis is spread by airborne droplets from infected people. These can then be inhaled by others. The infection begins by reaching the pulmonary alveoli where the bacteria is then taken up by macrophages in the lungs. The primary site of infection is referred to as the Ghon focus. Dendritic cells can pick up the bacteria and transport them to other parts of the body, leading to Miliary tuberculosis althought the bacteria cannot replicate within the dendritic cells. Standard unsupervised treatment of TB: 1st 2 months: Rifater (rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide) 65kg - 6 tabs Ethambutol 15mg/kg Next 2 months: Rifanah (rifampicin, isoniazid) 50kg 2 x 300mg tabs Mycobacterium tuberculosis is spread by airborne droplets from infected people. As far as I'm aware, the lungs don't actually aid digestion, however there are a few things they do that might indirectly be helpful.
The consistent pressure changes in the thoracic cavity due to inspiration/exhalation, may exert some pressure/force on the oesophagus which may aid peristalsis, ensuring an easy transit of food to the stomach.
The only other thing is that breathing maintains a high oxygen concentration gradient, so we therefore have high availability of oxygen for respiration. All the cells in the digestive system must respire to create ATP for energy, and the oxygen needed comes from breathing through the lungs.
Can a 15 year old who has smoked for 2 years have lung cancer at 15?

But if you're 15 and there's no history of lungcancer in your family, then I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.
What is your chance of getting lung cancer when engaged in smoking?
It depends on how much you have smoked and for how long, 40 ciggs a day is very different from 5 a day. A very rough average for people in their 50's who have smoked since they where teenagers is 5-7% chance to develop lung cancer before they reach 65.
Here's a table with approximations: 1 pack a day for 30 years > less than 1%
1 pack a day for 35 years > about 3%
1.5 packs a day for 40 years > about 4%
2 packs a day for 45 years > about 8%
2 packs a day for 50 years > about 15%
Please note that your individual risk varies greatly depending on factors such as personal physice and general living conditions. However it's not at all certain that you will develop lung cancer because you smoke.
