How does the respiratory system interact with other systems?
It interacts with the circulatory system. When you breathe in oxygen, the blood in your circulatory system carries that oxygen-rich blood to your heart and other parts of the body.
Why are infant lung volumes relatively lower than those of adults?
If you picture it in your mind they are smaller all over than adults so all of their organs are smaller and that goes for the lung volume as well.
These volumes are needed when there is suspicion of restrictive pattern, which can be presented along with obstructive pattern with FVC < 80%.
How does the air moves in and out of the lungs?
It is called breathing. Breathing is the movement of the chest that brings air into the lungs and removes waste gases. The air entering the lungs contain oxygen. It passes from the lungs into the circulatory system because there is less oxygen in blood when it enters the lungs than in the cells of the lungs.
