Yes, you can. The way to do it is to use the D-pad. If you don't know what the D-pad is, look at the controller. The D-pad is the thing that looks like a grey plus shape with arrows on the ends. Just hit it as you are bouncing on a bump in the road, landing on a mushroom, etc.

There are 3 types of speed boosts. 1: Speed boosts that were built for the track. 2: Mushrooms from item boxes 3: Drifting speed boost The drifting speed boost is a little tricky. It's very useful when going around sharp turns. First when going aroun the turn, hold R. Then while still holding R, quickly alternate between left and right. You should see blue sparks and then red sparks. When you see red sparks let go of R and you should get a short burst of speed. This does not make the blooper ink go away from your screen should you get inked.

Its easy. Just grab the wii remote (with all the buttons on it), take the wii wheel (with no buttons [just the fake button for the B button]), put the wii remote in and move the wii wheel like you are driving a real car for automatic option (which i suggest).

The arrow buttons on the left of the wii remote that has been put in the wii wheel uses powerups.

The 2 button accelerates.

The 1 button breaks and also reverses.

The A button is to look behind.

If you shake the wii wheel as soon as you take off into the air from a ramp, you can do a trick that boosts your speed when you hit the ground.

The B button on the back of the wii wheel/wii remote allows you to drift (only if you selected Manuel).

Tips and Tricks

If you got a green shell, red shell or a banana in your item compartment and a red shell is gaining on you, with the arrow buttons on the left of your wii remote, hold the left or right arrow until the red shell hits the item. Holding the button instructed abouve will hold your item behind you and protects your back from any incoming red shells and green sells (if you cant dodge them).

Ok. You can ether go onto your Mario kart thing and do times trials and see all of the courses you have done. If you were faster and were less seconds than the expert goust person, than you have one. You will probaby know how many you have by unlocking characters like baby luigi and funky kong. You can use a pencil and paper to count how many you have.

If you mean with the Balloon Battle on Mario Kart Wii, then just switch the teams. However, I think if you defeat one person from the opposite team you're on while playing, you get the opposite color balloon. I'm not sure though. Good luck!

You need to complete star cup for the first time. After you complete star cup, go and play star cup again, but this time, at a certain point, you might see two arrows. Select the arrow facing away from the tourney area or the one facing in the middle (depends where you are in the tourney...) and you'll have a few challenges to complete. After you complete those challenges, you'll jump right into that airship it will take you to the star road. Now complete the challenges to complete the star road.

After the first challenge in the star road, there's two routes. Select the one facing down. After that, select the one facing up. (Selecting the one facing down will make you exit the star road)

Now go and complete those challenges! You might get a new skin or character..................................................................................
