Can you do msc with maths after btech?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It's possible to get into an undergraduate engineering course with a level 3 BTEC in the relevant subject.

But with these kinds of qualifications, you have to check which universities accept them as BTEC although a Diploma in BTEC is worth 3 A levels (A* to C) it is a vocational qualification. You may not be able to get into the most prestigious universities but if you can find one that will take BTECs then make sure you apply.

Another option would be a distance learning university such as the Open Universities as they accept a wide range of people.

What are the education requirements for a medical research scientist?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Well, I'm not a MSTP student, which is the acronym for Medical Scientist Training Program which is a federally funded school program to promote MD/PhD combined education. Either these programs, or MD/PhD programs from a different (non funded) school are essentially the same. As far a requirements go, they vary from school to school, but most all of them are the same as regular MD schools, but MSTP or MD/PhD programs place more emphasis on research as opposed to clinical volunteering experience. Also, the letters of reference should reflect an ability to think in terms of a scientist (scientific methods) vs. a clinician (deduction). Scholastically, the combined degree students are usually as good if not better than regular MD students, if only because the schools do not admit as many of these students an so they can be more selective. Along those lines, the MSTP and some of the MD/PhD programs provide paid tuition and a stipend for students, making these programs even more competetive.

If you want to work in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries, you don't need to have an MD/PhD or even a PhD. To work as a medicinal chemist, you would need a BS/MS/PhD in organic chemistry. Most biologists in the industry have a BS/MS/PhD in biochemistry or cell biology.

Good luck.

What is the need of segmentation in microprocessor 8086?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

At this point you may be wondering why Intel designed the 8086 family devices to access memory using the segment: offset approach rather than accessing memory directly with 20-bit addresses. The segment: offset, scheme requires only a 16-bit number to represent the base address for a segment, and only a 16-bit offset to access any location in a segment. This means that the 8086 has to manipulate and store only 16-bit quantities instead of 20-bit quantities. This makes for an easier interface with 8- and 16-bit-wide memory boards and with the 16-bit registers in the 8086.

The second reason for segmentation has to do with the type of microcomputer in which an 8086-family CPU is likely to be used. In a timesharing system, several users share a CPU. The CPU works on one user's program for perhaps 20 ms, then works on the next user's program for 20 ms. After working 20 ms for each of the other users, the CPU comes back to the first user's program again. Each time the CPU switches from one user's program to the next, it must access a new section of code and new sections of data. Segmentation makes this switching quite easy. Each user's program can be assigned a separate set of logical segments for its code and data. The user's program will contain offsets or displacements from these segment bases. To change from one user's program to a second user's program, all that the CPU has to do is to reload the four segment registers with the segment base addresses assigned to the second user's program. In other words, segmentation makes it easy to keep users' programs and data separate from one another, and segmentation makes it easy to switch from one user's program to another user's program.

What is future scenario and scope of pharmacognosy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This is precisely the question that was addressed at the Asilomar conference, (similar in spirit to the "TED" conference in Monterey with regard to computers and technology in general). The outcome of Asilomar was the self-regulation of this industry with a set of guidelines that were tied to rules for federal funding of research.

The scope of biotechnology is huge. The future scenarios are probably far beyond our wildest imagination. A few examples: - There are artists and architects collaborating with biochemists and geneticists to theorize about the possibility of creating living houses for humans. These houses would be made of living plants genetically engineered to be perfect habitats living symbiotically with humans, including cool or warm climate controls, plumbing (fresh water and waste digestion), food provision, and light energy capture, storage, and production. Different textures, colors, and functions are unlimited in theory. - Researchers have recently isolated the genes related to schizophrenia and are seeking funding for research leading to the investigation of a cure or treatment. - Scientists are racing to save the honeybee from a viral plague that is eradicating it from the face of North America and threatening our supply of honey. They are looking into the DNA of the virus hoping to stop it in its tracks.

Is msc physics is equivalent to msc electronics?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, of course

Even M.Sc. Physics (Specialization in Electronics) has higher rank than B.Tech in any stream.

Because M.Sc. degree is awarded after 5 years (B.Sc.+ M.Sc.) from 12th while B.Tech is awarded after 4 years from 12th. so M.Sc has higher precedence.

M.Sc. is a Master Degree, while B.Tech is The Bachelor Degree. so it is also makes the importance of M.Sc. over B.tech.

Those Students who complete their M.Tech, MBA, MCA after M.Sc. has higher weightage than B.Tech students......

I think now you are clear with this explanation about the equivalence of B.tech and M.Sc. Physics or other stream.

West wishes,

Is msc it approved by aicte?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Msc IT is valid masters degree program. It is equivalent to B.Tech., MCA.

Regarding the approval one need to check it with the college that whether or not they have the approval for running the course.

If you are taking admission directly in any University campus you need not worry about AICTE, but should check for UGC approval alone. But if you are taking admission in any college affiliated to some university then apart from checking for UGC's approval (University level) you will need to check for the approval of the Course by AICTE (at college level).

Hope that helps. Choose wisely.

Show you the jobs after msc chemistry?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

With an MSc in organic chemistry, you can do so much. You can work in a research lab as a research scientist. Or if the lab is not your thing you can basically work anywhere within a pharmaceutical company. Jobs you might want to consider and research on include: * Clinical research associate * Regulatory Affairs Executive * Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance Officer/Scientist * Medical Information Advisor/Office * Sales Representative * Data Manager * Outcomes Research and Health Economics (but you will also need a numerical subject/degree of some sort, such as MSc in Health Economics, Mathmatics, Epidimiology etc) There is so much you can do. The best way to start is by reading up on any of these jobs and then making your mind up about where you'd like to be. Then, start looking at the companies that will employ you, such as: * GlaxoSmithKline * Astrazeneca * Pfizer * Johnson and Johnson * Merck Sharpe and Dhome * Rhoche * Schering Plough * etc etc etc
