To get from Hawaii (the big island) to Maui, you need an interisland plane ticket from the Kona International Airport at Keahole to Maui's Kahului Airport. Both Hawaiian Airlines and Go! Airlines operate daily flights between these two hubs.

Hawaii can be quite pleasant any month. Winters have a greater possibility of rain. For a few April is the month for the Big Island because you will want to attend the Merrie Monarch Festival which is the Superbowl of Hula.

In 2012, nearly 20 years later, the water rights over the stream is still a hotly contested issue with both windward and leeward Oahu farmers fighting over who should have the water.

== == There is no "cheap" time to move to Maui, or any one of the other Hawaiian islands. The cost of living is a bit more expensive than many places because it's a major tourist destination, and most of what sustains Maui must be delivered by boat or plane. So in turn that extra cost is added into the cost of everyday things. Most of the jobs on Maui are directly related to tourist activities, in hotels, condos, timeshares, fishing, boating, and travel. Unfortunately, the ratio of pay scale to cost of living isn't all that great. A direct flight from Vancouver to Maui would be approximately 6 hours long.

Swim in the Ocean the water is always warm. Attend a Luau and go shopping at the International Market Place. If you have the money invest in a time share by Waikiki Beach. Where to eat? Go to Todai for sushi or Duke's for a super burger.

People on Maui speak English, French and a Hawaiian language.

When eating, the Adults and Guests always eats first as the children serve the adults and the mothers and aunts (though most of the times are the older cousins or sisters) will be working in the kitchen to make sure the adults have all they need and that they are satisfied. Every Samoan (the Independant Samoa) HAS to go to church on Sunday. Well, as far as I know, the kids have no choice unless you want an adult give you the look or make you go. that's what I know and experienced when I was there.

5) Driving the Hana Highway is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful drives in the world

6) Luaus - 2 of the best ones are the Old Lahaina Luau and the Feast at Lele.

7) Snorkeling - Black Rock is a popular spot right off the famous Kaanapali Beach. Going to the island of Molokini is also a popular daytrip that can be taken from Maui. There are also a lot of great snorkeling beaches in South Maui.

14) Beaches - Kaanapali Beach in West Maui is fantastic. Some of South Maui's best beaches include Kamaole I, II and III and Big Beach. One of North Maui's most famous beaches is Hookipa Beach Park - it is one of the world's best places for windsurfing.
