every 3,000 mi. and filter running conventional oil; Every 5,000 miles and filter with full synthetic oil.
the new trend is every 3000 miles or every 3 months. Personally, I am always poor, I do every 5000 miles or 4 months. my 2004 Mazda 3 still run it best.
The "check engine light" on a Mazda three is located to the left lower side of the tachometer. It is orange in colour.
Actually is is possible to change the radio, and HVAC controls. Head over to www.mazda3forums.com and look under interior modifications.
AnswerThere is no way to change the color of the illumination on the instrument panel. This guy says you can but I tried hitting this button on my Mazda 3 and it only changed the brightness of the light, not the color!
Actually, you can only change from red to blue when the lights are on, it doesn't work with the lights off.

For all of you out there that are saying there is too much red accent have you pressed the button above the tack to turn it BLUE? It looks alot better and much easier on the eyes at night. I live in Minnesota where it snows and gets cold so it will be interesting how the car handles.
AnswerI AS WELL TRIED HITTING THE BUTTON ABOVE THE TACH AND IT ONLY CHANGED THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE LIGHT.I found this identical information on both an "authoritative" mazda site and on 2 mazda enthusiast forums:
Programming a Spare Remote for Mazda3
Step 1: Open driver side door and leave open.
Step 2: Lock and Unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door
Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.
Step 4: Turn Key to ON position and return to Lock (off) position. Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. LEAVE key in the ignition in Lock (off) position.
Step 5: Close and open drivers door 3 times ending with door in the open position.
Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors once.
Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.
Step 8: Additional remotes, repeat Step 7 for up to 3 remotes total.
Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series (about 4) of door locks and unlocks. You're done!
"it is goverend at 118 mph and the mazdaspeed3 is at 155 mph"
This is incorrect the car is actually governed at 155 mph with a quoted top speed of 160.
No this car does not have AUX port.
I own it for 4 months and looking to add by myself now.
That depends on which type of intake and which type of exhaust system. A complete cold air intake will give you about a 12 horse power increase. Try to stick with a reputable maker as they usually test and custom make the intakes. Ingen is preferred and you won't have any problems with them. This will also increase the torque which is also very important AND give the car a nice, mean sound. I would suggest NOT installing a short cold air intake system and sticking with a complete system. As far as an exhaust upgrade there are a few choices you have. You can get a system which replaces the exhaust from the catalitic converters to the end of the exhaust tips. Then you can get a complete system which includes upgraded headers (where the exhaust starts on the engine out-take,) piping from the headers to the cats, upgraded high-flow cats, high-flow mufflers and so on. The more the better. This will prob give you another 15 horse power but make sure not to get pipes that are over 1/2 of an inch wider in diameter than your stock pipes. If you do you will actually lose horsepower since there will be too little pressure in the system. The best bet is to replace the headers first. Then replace the mufflers. Just don't make your car sound like a rice-rocket or you'll get pulled over everyday. good luck
According to Mazda, both the 2.0-liter and 2.3-liter engines have a maximum speed of 117.5 mph.
In a 2003 Mazda 6, open the glove box, squeeze the sides gently and remove ithe box. The cabin air filter is directly behind where the glove box lives. It is a simple matter to unlatch the door and pull the old filter out. Reverse your steps to install the new filter and glove box. It helps to empty the glove box first so you don't spill anything.
