It's alright, I managed to find it, It's just above the oil sump, in case anyone else is having this problem.

The timing marks on the crank pulley are 2 little nicks about half the size of a pinhead about 1cm apart. The 'clockwise' one is the ignition timing mark. The one to it's left is TDC. To correctly fit timing belt, crank pulley should be at TDC on the compression stroke & 'E' & 'I' on the cam sprockets should be at 12 o'clock. It's that easy. But the camshafts can move on their own because of the valve spring pressure on the cam lobes, so make sure the camshafts don't move while your trying to fit the belt.

First you need to have the rear axle jacked up on a stand or jack.Dissengage the parking brake have the truck in park or in gear if manual.Use a brick or wheel block to keep the vehicle secure.To remove the rear drums it has 2 set screws that typically are Phillips head (use some liquid wrench or any penatrating fluid if they are rusted or not removed over a long time).You remove them and will reinsert them into the 2 holes 180 degrees opposite of the location they came out.Simply use a screw driver and run them in equally this will push the drum off the shoes.Sometimes the drum will stick and u can use a large pry bar or flat head screwdriver to evenly pry the drum away from the backing plate.You may also may have to tap the drum with a hammer to loosen this as well.I would spray the penatrating fluid around the studs and hub(on the front side)so it will slide off easier.And if the set screws are really tight place a set of channel locks onto the Phillips head handle to give you leverage to break loose the screws if they do not come free u can grab the channel lock while holding the screw drvr in place.Always if u plan on replacing the rear brakes do 1 side at a time so you do not place the springs,and push rods incorrectly.Hope this answers any ?s you may have and if the set screw head gets stripped out,simply drill out the head and buy new screws like at lowes (I have had this happen use a smaller drill bit so not to damage the hole).I recommend using antiseize on these two screws when u reinstall them in there original location.They hold the drum tight to the hub.OK

As to why would you do this? This component is electronic controlled as well as vacumm.Reason I ask is if you unplug the egr it may cause a problem with ecu and how the vehicle runs making it run poorly or not at all.But short of it you would have to make a metal plate that is the same configuration as the egr itself and use the original bolts.I would recommend not doing this bc of the various other components that work in conjunction with the egr and this will cause ur mpg to drop,and could cause other running issues.

The spark plug gap on a 1997 Mazda Rustler 160i should be set at .044 inches. This is one of the most common spark plug gap settings.

They change out like any other disc set up. My problem is exacting the head size of the keeper bolt. Not 5/8 sae and my metrics don't fit it. Guess I'll by the 2 others apx that size. These are Ford Rangers and built in Flint Mich.. I can't find diagrams that affect this situation.

I highly recommend the Ford Motorcraft XT-M5-QS synthetic fluid. This has made an amazing difference in shift feel for many, many people. Including myself. You will need 3 quarts total. Next, insert the pressure head of the new one into the slot in the side of the yolk...you may have to compress the cylinder, which easily done by hand. Insert and tighten the 2 bolts, and rehook the line. Lastly, you'll need to bleed the system, since you broke the hydraulic line. u need a small puller bolted on the timing gear, gear has small threaded holes for this, can buy or rent puller at rental center. or make ur own device to act like a puller

It is not hard but it does take time. You must look for all the bolts and screws that hold it down. You must also remove the steering weel and the signal ligth and wiper control (they are one unit). Also must remove the heather and vent control knobs behind them is a small nut you must remove in order to remove the controls. Then you must be patient, don't try too yank it kwik. take your time so you will not brake anything.
