Is a Mazda 5 a car or a van?

I'm a Mazda sales manager so here is the details. It is built off of a modify version of the 3 5-door and shares the engine, transmission, front suspension, and steering. So it's a crossover, as it's a car platform but has seating for 6 and dual sliding doors. It's a van, it's classified as a van by the EPA.

Where is a restraints control module located at on a 2002 Mazda truck?

The module is located on the transmission hump in front of the gearshift under the dash. If you check under the cup holder, you will find two sets of wires going in and these will lead you to the module. The module also has the crash sensors built into it.

How do you replace bulbs on high mount stop lights on a Mazda MPV?

Open the lift gate. Pull off the plastic interior trim, 4 snaps, just give it a gentle tug and it will come off pretty easy. Next, you will see to back of the red brake light and you will see 4 tabs along the bottom. There are also 4 tabs along the top that you can't see but there are the same and in the same locations as the bottom tabs.

Trick is to use 2 people to remove the brake light retainer, one using a screw driver. Have one person push in two tabs and the other to push in the other two, simultaneously. The 3rd tab from the left requires a screw driver as you can't fit your finger in the hole. As you both push in the tabs, gently push the brake light retainer outward, the bottom will disengage and then you can carefully pull down on it from the outside and disengage the 4 top tabs. Then just untwist bulbs and I'd replace all four. Reinserting is pretty easy, just gently push back in place.

What is the life span of a Mazda Miata?

The life span of any car depends on how well it is maintained and cared for. I have a '94 Mazda Miata that has nearly 200,000 miles on it and have yet to have a major problem with it. Naturally, I have had to change the water pump, spark plugs and a sensor or two, but that is just normal wear and tear. I've read articles of some Miatas going to 400,000 plus miles. So take care of it, and you should get many, many years out of it.

How do you change struts on a Mazda protege 5 2003?

Front or back?

Not sure of the back

But the front is pretty simple.

-Take off wheel

-unbolt the two bolts (BIG usually towards the end of the strut) that connect the knuckle to the strut

-unbolt the top bolts inside the hood and the strut should come out with the spring attatched.

-Compress the spring and pull the old strut and replace with new one.

Do everything backwards to reinstall. Its easier if you have an impact gun with you since the knuckle bolts could be seized and will be a pain.

You will need to realign the car after

Hope this helps
