What causes post menopausal fluid in uterus?

In post menopausal women, the cervical opening often thickens and may close alltogether. This is called 'cervical stenosis'. This may be caused by scarring from previous endometrial ablations or from growing fibroids which are benign tumors inside the uterus or the uterine wall. Fluid may collect inside the uterus because it cannot travel out of the constricted cervical opening. This is usually detected by ultrasound. Your doctor may request an 'endometrial biopsy' which is a procedure involving gently dilating the cervical opening and removing tissue for examination by a pathologist. The tissue will be examined for cancer cells. Just going through this procedure may be enough to have the fluid drain since the cervix will be opened wide enough for the small biopsy tube. If the fluid, pelvic pain, pressure, or other symptoms are not resolved by this procedure, the next step is a D&C (dilation and curettage) which is the gentle removal of tissue inside the uterus....a more involved procedure.

Can you get pregnant when going threw menopause?

Since you are referring to 'during menopause' I am assuming you are referring to perimenopause, the transitions until the 'final period'. Perimenopause can last as long as five years and even longer for some women - and typically begins in the mid 40s and last until the early 50s. 2% of women 55 years and older are premenopausal while the others have menopaused.

While the period is sporadic and infrequent; you are still ovulating, so you can get pregnant. Interestingly, while there is a low probability of a pregnancy, there is high probability that a pregnancy is multiples.

This is a good analogy of the chances of getting pregnant after the age of 50:

"The risk of pregnancy after age 50 is about the same as the risk of pregnancy occurring in a 22 year old who is using condoms for contraception, and less than the risk if she were using a diaphragm. For women seeking a higher degree of protection, other contraceptive techniques may be used until age 55. Spontaneous pregnancy after age 55 is essentially nil."

Women's breasts don't grow from birth control pills.

Hormonal birth control can cause temporary breast swelling but this is temporary, no more than a person would naturally see during the menstrual cycle, and often accompanied by tenderness. Many women use hormonal birth control in their teens and early twenties, when breast growth is most likely to occur, some people mistakenly attribute natural breast growth to use of the birth control pill.

Is 114 over 70 a good blood pressure for a 46 year old women?

Sounds good, but it's only a single reading. I'm 42 9male) and just took a 114 over 70 reading, which is a little high for me. 110 over 67 is nearer my norm, and that is pretty good. You need to do multiple readings over a period of time to get a proper idea (always at the same time of day). Also, remember that the machine your Doctor has will always give a more accurate reading than home bought machines, which are usually not re-callibrated at regular intervals as they should be! And any machine should really use a cuff around the bicep, not lower down the arm or wrist. You do not mention how you got your reading. That said, I very much doubt you have anything to worry about. If in doubt, visit your Doctor, and remember - worrying about your blood pressure could well raise your blood pressure!
