What does it mean if you are spotting but your period is late?
Are you sure that your not pregnant you may be experiencing implantation bleeding where the fertilized egg implants into your uterine walls. If there is a possibility that your pregnant go get an At Home Pregnancy Test ASAP that way you know whats going on if you dont think your pregnant are you under a great deal of stress, did you currently gain or lose a significant amount of weight if so these could also cause you to be late or skip your period !!! GOOD LUCK!
Is it normal to have your period twice a month?
If your period arrives on the 1st of the month and then you have a second period on 28-31st of that month then this is normal. If your cycle is not like the one above then this isn't normal. Se your doctor as you may have a hormonal imbalance or be pregnant.
Why would you be missing periods?
You could be pregnant, under stress, eating poorly, on a bad diet, Anorexic, Bolemic (not accusing you of any of these things)or you are very athletic. Athletes often miss their periods. To put your mind at rest it's best to go see your doctor about this. Marcy
Why do women get blood clots when they get their period?
The so called "blood clots" are most likely the endometrial lining that you shed each time. Your period isn't just blood, it's also the protective layer of tissue (the endometrial lining) that your uterus creates to cushion the egg.
AnswerThe reason why we get blood clots its normal for one but its because if your body doesnt get rid of it, it can stop up something in your system and that's not good so if your body releases chunks of blood its only to help you
During your period your body will release anticoagulants that keep the blood fluid and thinned. However, if your flow is extremely strong, the blood may pass before the anticoagulants can work. In this case, the blood may clot as it is passed.
spotting can happen either before of after your period often it is dried blood if however you are worried then you should contact your gp.
There is no harm in this whatsoever. So you took 22 active pills in a row. Now you can take seven (or six, or five, etc.) placebo pills, have a withdrawal bleed, and then start your new pack. There is no increased risk of pregnancy from taking 22 active pills instead of 21. Just remember to never go more than seven days without an active pill.
Does a woman bleed days after her first time?
I stumbled across your question so I thought I might be of some help. By how you worded your question I'm assuming you've never been involved in sexual intercourse which is fine. Never feel like you can't ask a question because you think it's stupid, the only stupid questions are the ones unasked. That being said let's get to the point. The answer to your question is both yes and no. Whether or not a woman bleeds after he first time varies with each individual. I myslef bled a little on the day after my first. It wasn't alot and was to be expected. The size of the male also takes part in how much, if at all, a woman bleeds. I've heard of some that have bled but not much at all and then others who didn't bleed at all. As I mentioned before it really just varies on the woman and there's not really a way to predetermine how much you'll bleed if you do. So I leave you with this-if you decide to take part in sexual intercourse please be careful. If you don't bleed it's ok and if you do then that's alright also.
AnswerBleed for days can't be good. See a doctor. There is a small risk of pregnancy.
What could be wrong if 4 home pregnancy tests were negative but you are 6 days late?
Wow, if you took four pregnancy tests, your period could be late due to stress. You can either wait a bit longer for your period to arrive or contact your doctor to get advice about your specific problem.
Could stress cause you to skip your period for 4 months?
I'm sure it's possible, assuming you've ruled out pregnancy or other physiological causes.
When is a woman the most fertile during her cycle?
A woman is most fertile during ovulation - which is typically two weeks before menstruation. A woman is also fertile up to a week leading up to ovulation when there is fertile quality cervical mucus present, this can keep sperm alive in the vagina for up to a week by which time the woman may ovulate. Unless you use Fertility Awareness Method you can't know when you're fertile.
Is there a way to make your period come early or possibly delay it?
if you are on the pill, yes. if you want it to start, stop taking pills before you're done the pack. I've never tried it, but i would suppose that you could also delay it thus, by continuing to take pills on your "week off".
I had this problem myself, but the second period was accompanied by a really bad pain in my side. I went to a doctor and found out that I was pregnant in my tube(ectopic). If you are experiencing severe pains you should see a doctor. Otherwise, it my be that your body is trying to get back into it's regular cycle. Going off (and starting) the pills always puts your body through a lot of changes... many people have irregular periods for a while (or miss a couple) after stopping the pill... but its always good to ask your doctor! == Answer== The above answer is correct This can be caused by the changing of hormones in the body and should be nothing to worry about. Unless it continues to occur... to be on the safe side consult your GYN.......
What does it mean if you just ended your period 4 days ago and now you started again?
You may be pregnant or have a hormonal imbalance
How soon after birth can you start taking the pill again?
As soon as you become sexually active again. Or you can wait a few months and get your partner to wear a condom.
How many days after your period are you ovulating?
The belief that ovulation takes place 14 days after the period starts is a myth...one that prevents a lot of woman from getting pregnant. The day actually varies among woman and may change from one cycle to another. The way to effectively predict it is to use an ovulation kit which detects hormonal days and notifies you in advance when you will be ovulating. Another way is to use a basal body thermometer -ovulation occurs when there is a sharp temperature shift (rise) in the overall pattern each month. Before ovulation, temperatures tend te be in the 97's and after ovulation, the shift sharply to the 98's. There is a lot more to it than I can explain here, so for further details, you need to buy a book or read up about it on fertility websites
discharge could be a symptom of an early pregnancy, because of your mucus plug beginning to form. Some of this mucus-like discharge could drain. However; the discharge you are experiencing may also be one of the many different consistencies of your vagina's natural lubricant. The thickness and color of your normal mucus changes differently for every woman throughout the month. If you have any kind of itching or smell coming from this discharge it may be a yeast infection forming. Not a big deal. Many women contact this infection and it can be easily taken care of. Contact your family doctor for an antibiotic if this is the case. If you are experiencing any kind of burning make sure you set up an appointment with your gynecologist for a professional opinion on what these changes in your body may be.
Answerit also could indicate that you are fertile. you get a slippery, egg-white stretchy type mucus when you are fertile. it could also indicate an infection, so if it keeps occurring you may want to see a gynecologist.~pawsalmighty
What does it mean when you have a stringy white discharge before and during your period?
This means nothing hun and is normal. It does happen sometimes and you may get this discharge during all of your periods.
Can you have a period that lasts only 3 days?
Yes you can.
yes you can, your body is unique and isn't the same to somebody elses body so that means it dosent have to be the typical 5 days.
Two days late is nothing and I doubt that you are pregnant. What you describe is PMS and the cramps often come before a period as well as during a period. Stay off of sugars, caffeine, and take B6 to help yourself. When the cramps start using a heating pad to help yourself. When you are a month late for a period take a test.
There is a good chance that your period is just irregular this month. Take a test to be sure of pregnancy, or see your doctor.
You should use a backup method (condoms only) for the next 2 weeks.
There are a few reasons your period can be late 1) Pregnancy 2) Stress 3) just having an erratic cycle. if you miss your period altogether, you may want to have a pregnancy test done and/or see your doctor to find out why your periods have stopped.
Pregnancy is controlled by 4 hormones in the female body, all of which respond to the amount of stress that the body is under. When the body begins to be under stress, the hormones are also put under this stress, causing them to not release at the proper time. If this happens, they will just be released later, causing a late period. It could also be that your period is not late, but rather missing. If you have had sex within the last month, pregnancy could be the reason. When a sperm and egg join, a hormone is released by the female body to stop estrogen, a hormone that controls the period in a female. This is to keep the body from releasing another egg, resulting in multiple pregnancies at different times, which would endanger both babies. A period is actually the result of your uterine lining shedding, which would support the baby if the female was pregnant. If the egg is not fertilized by a certain day in your cycle, hormones in your body are released to shed the lining, as it becomes toxic to the female. If you are pregnant, the reason your period is not coming is because that uterine lining is currently supporting a developing child.
A woman is most fertile around 2-3 weeks before menstruation.
During a 28 day cycle a woman would be fertile around days 7-16 - this includes ovulation around day 14, with a viable egg present for up to 48 hours, and a week prior when fertile cervical mucus is present. But of course everyone's menstrual cycles are different and so unless you use Fertility Awareness Method you don't know when you are fertile or not, thus you should always assume you could be fertile and use birth control if you want to avoid pregnancy.
Wow! Sounds like a chapter out of my life story! The answer is yes and no! If she just started birth control then her body is going through some changes. Birth control makes your body believe that you are Pregnant. So you will go through some abnormal changes. So maybe that's what's going on! That happened to me too. The Pills and the patch thru my cycle off. So just be careful! I though I was pregnant but found out that it's normal. But everybody has there own side effects. Some people gain weight, have morning sickness and all that other stuff. All I went through was crazy cycles. My advise is to get Ortho Evra if she doesnt already use it. Hope everything goes well!
