Menstruation

Menstruation is the routine discharge, or release, of blood and mucosal tissue from the uterus. This process occurs about once a month from the time a female reaches puberty until menopause. During pregnancy, the monthly menstrual cycle is absent while the womb nourishes the growing fetus.

My period lasts for 3 days usually how do you calculate my fertile days?

ok to really answer this you need to know what your cycle is, whether it is 28 days or 30, 32, 35 anything like that, if it is 28 days the most common cycle, than it is 14 days after the first of your last period, or 14 days before the start of your expected period, if it is a 30, 32 days cycle any thing like that it is half way after the first day of your last period, and that day is where you are ovulating, 3 to 4 days before and after you are ovulating you are fertile, which means that you cuold posibly conceive on those days or your vagina has the best conditions for sperm to live until it can fertalize the egg when you ovulate, hope this is what you meant

What causes your period to start early?

It could be that your cyle has changed. In some cases it can be stress that leads to that.

When is safe period?

Practically speaking, there isn't one.

If you know EXACTLY where you're at in your menstrual cycle, there are days where the chance of getting pregnant is really, really small. But counting the days isn't accurate enough for that.

One in five women relying on "safe periods" will get pregnant within one year anyhow.

How do i know if im pregnant if i dont get my period?

AnswerIF A TAKE A PREGNETSEY TEST TWICE AND IT COMES OUT POSITIVE AM I REALLY PREGNANT? You could be able to tell before you miss your period or just some more signs that might help you. Here are some more signs i'v seen on the net.:
  • Tender, heavery, tingley breasts. or your area around the nipple may turn darker in color.
  • morning sickness or at night
  • moody
  • slight/mild cramping (like period)
  • light period
  • spot of blood (this would be when the baby attaches) and its just a little bit, not like a period, and its also lighter in color
  • constipation or gas
  • Sleepy
  • increased appitite, or cravings, you may not want to eat some of the foods you used to like
  • increased sence of smell
  • dizzyness
  • headaces
  • zits
  • missed period
I know theres alot there, and sometimes you may feel these when your pregnant, and you may not experience any of them. Although some people experience them and then arn't pregnant because there just to excited or anxious to get pregnant so they think they have them. So if your trying just calm down and relax and know your cycle and when you ovulate. And if you think you are and these tip-offs relate to you, try a home test or wait until your missed period. Also some of the tip-offs may not mean pregnancy eaither, they could mean your getting your period or your getting sick.Answeryes, if you miss your period, then you are in fact, pregnant.

What does it mean if you have dark red blood clots while on your period?

This is a normal part of menstruation so nothing to worry about.

During menstruation it's not just blood that you loose but the uterine tissue, most of this will just be cells in the blood but larger pieces of the uterine lining can be shed on heavier days - these can be mistaken for blood clots, they will look like pieces of raw liver.

Menstrual blood doesn't really clot like normal blood, if it did it'd be detrimental to the whole process, but you can sometimes see smaller clots. You can also see bloody mucus sometimes too, the opening to your cervix is normally blocked-up with mucus to prevent anything harmful getting through to the uterus (it changes around ovulation to allow sperm through), during menstruation some of this mucus can come out with the blood. Plus you still get discharge too.

Can a girl get pregnant 5 days after her period?

She can conceive 5 days after her period, yes - in theory this would be one of the most fertile days of her cycle. During the typical 28 day cycle a woman would ovulate around day 14 and be fertile from day 7, thus 5 days after her period she may conceive and in turn fall pregnant.

Is it normal for your period to come after having intercourse even though you already had it that month?

No, it absolutely is not. You do not get two periods a month, so you must be bleeding for another reason and you need to go to the doctor's office tomorrow, whether you have an appointment or not. One of them will see you, I guarantee.

What could be a reasons for an abnormal period I spotted 2 days bled 2 days and then spotted 3 days...?

If you are on any kind of birth control this could happen, espicially if you just started taking birth control. If that is the case, your menstrual cycles should balance back out. If you are a teenager it could be just your hormones. They can very well be why your period is abnormal.

Is it normal to miss a period?

Yes, it is normal to miss a period every once in a while. if you miss it for over a month, i would take a pregnancy test, or talk to your doctor. if you miss them alot, then something is probably wrong with your menstruation system. Just make sure to stock up on tampons and have them with you at all times! hope this helped!

Do you begin to ovulate the last day of you menstrual cycle or after the last day of your menstrual cycle?

You don't ovulate on the last day or the day after the last day of your menstrual cycle.

The last day of your menstrual cycle is the day before your period - the first day of your period is day one of your menstrual cycle. Ovulation occurs two weeks before menstruation, if you had a 28 day cycle that would mean you would ovulate around day 14 of your menstrual cycle.

Unless you use fertility awareness method you can't tell when you are fertile or ovulating.

What do light periods mean?

A woman can experience a range of different symptoms during her period.

Some periods can be 'heavy flow,' which means a lot more blood and lining is coming out over the course of the week. This is all relative to her normal cycle.

Some periods can be the opposite, not a lot of mess and fuss. Instead of wearing heavy duty pads, and/or normal pads (and tampons), she might just wear a combination of normal and light pads and pantiliners.

Many women on birth control pills experience lighter periods, but more often experience spotting throughout the month.

What day is considered the first day of my period - when I have that brown light bleeding or when I see red blood?

The first day of your period is the first day of 'true bleeding' which would be the first day you see red blood. You can see spotting like brown or pink discharge for a lot of reasons so you don't want to count that as your period if it turns out not to be. Although it doesn't matter that much anyway as it really doesn't have to be exact, just keep track of when you start roughly and you'll be fine.
