You don't have to be of a certain age to experience problems with your period. It can happen whether it's your first period or not. It usually has to do with some hormonal abnormalities or psychological factors (stress etc).

When you're ovulating, that is typically the peak time when you're able to conceive. However, even a few days after ovulation would still be possible. From what I've read, male sperm are faster "swimmers" therefore more apt to be conceived closest to your ovulation date, while female sperm are slower "swimmers" yet more hardy & longer living than male sperm who are faster swimmers but die off more quickly than their counter-part slower swimming female sperm. In other words, the closest you are to actually ovulating say, a day before up to a couple days after would likely yield conceiving (a boy) and same for female aperms, but even up to a good few days after ovulation. Anything longer than that, if you haven't conceived, your body will naturally know it's not pregnant and within a week or so you would get your period and that's when your body(uterus) sheds it's non-conceived blood filled lining and you get your period. No doctor or scientist here, but I've read up and researched it on my own and from personal experiences, tends to be fairly accurate! :)

No. 10 year old girls do not have to wear tampons. They can if they want to and with the permission of their parent or guardian. But if they want to wear a tampon I would advise them to get the tampon with the applicator because without the applicator its kinda painful first because I'm still a virgin.

There are several medicines that will stop your period, but none of them are safe to take without a doctor's advice. Misusing tampons this way can increase risk of vaginal infections and toxic shock syndrome - the latter would potentially cause serious harm to the baby.

Missed period can be an alarm for pregnancy but missed cycle not always means pregnancy. Are you counting by the calendar days? Usually the cycle is in sync with the phases of the moon, meaning you will have 13 cycles a year, not once a month which would be 12 cycles.
