Every antibiotic I have taken while on Methadone have had an effect on my Methadone. Most antibiotics have a small effect usually making the methadone less effective. Cipro specifically has an impact. The clinic where you get your methadone should have the drugs that effect strength your dose should be posted at the dispensing window. The dispensing nurse should be able to answer most simple questions and while most dispensing nurses act like they know everything but in reality in most states the are just LVN and unless they are very conscientious, their knowledge is not very extensive.

Methadone, if taken as prescribed by your physician, should keep you well throughout the day until it is time to take it again the following day.

The nurse or doctor that is giving you morphine after your surgery has it down to a fine art and they will give you just enough to take the edge off and then start slowly weaning you off of it with no ill effects.My husband just had 4 injections of morphine and he had been weaned off by the next afternoon and didn't even know it. They often start you out on Morphine for the worst part of the pain after surgery and then wean you off and put you on another pain medication that will get rid of the pain, but it non addictive. When you get your morphine ask the nurse or doctor to give you Gravol along with it so you don't get an upset stomach.

Methadone is made in powder form. It is then desolved to measure out a dosage that is either used for a maintenance drug program, or as an analgesic.

In most western countries it's measured in a 1:1 ratio. So 1 mg will be put into 1 ml. It's either directly desolved in Orange Juice or in Canada where I'm from some Drug stores will ask what flavour you prefer. So it could be mixed with Grape, Sugar-Free liquids, etc.

But most times it's in ORANGE JUICE. I'm on a Methadone Maintenance Program and the Drug Store I deal with buys there Orange Juice from McDonald's and uses that.

Morphine is generally counted milligram for milligram with Oxycontin. Percocet, Vicodin, Roxycodone, morphine and Oxycontin have the same basic active ingredient. So 100mg morphine will be stronger than an 80mg Oxy.

MDMA and morphine are perfect together. the people that say the two spoil each other are dead wrong and obviously didn't try it or did something wrong. i did some morphine after i had been rolling a while and it was the best i think i have ever felt! i would nod off and wake up right back up but every time i'd wake back up it felt like a really intense orgasm throughout my body. i highly recommend the combo. you won't be disappointed .

it really depends on if your opiate tolerant or not. Whether or not your trying to get high or for pain relief or getting off of drugs. I just started methadone maintence for a opiate dependency(medical reasons 2 fractures in my sternum ) the DR started me at 20mg for the first hour it was more of a warm everything is ok and motivated to do things kind of feelings. it is supposed to be at its peak at 3 to 5 hours but to answer your question no 10 mg is really not enough 20 mg is ok for me and i was taking around 120 mg of oxycondone a day and about 75 mgs of morphine a day. The constant refill reminders via e-mail are a bit irritating, but other than that, the product is as promised and delivery is very fast. If you are tested for opiates, which is usually one of the 5 main drugs that probation offices test for, then no. However they do have a special test for suboxone they can use if they suspect you are taking it. Otherwise, they will not test for it.

I Was told today that medicaid does cover methadone in Texas. I am trying to get help with my methadone fees at my clinic so I have called every place I can find. Today one place told me that they couldn't help me, but medicaid is now paying for methadone if I qualify. I don't qualify for the standard medicaid but is there a new or different application for methadone coverage ? Does anyone know?
