How important the clinical application of engulfment test?

The clinical application of the engulfment test is crucial for diagnosing and monitoring various immune-related conditions, particularly those involving phagocytic cell function. It assesses the ability of immune cells, such as macrophages, to engulf and eliminate pathogens or debris, providing insights into the immune system's efficacy. Abnormal results can indicate underlying disorders, such as chronic granulomatous disease or other immunodeficiencies, guiding treatment decisions and patient management. Overall, the test serves as an important tool in both clinical diagnostics and research into immune system functionality.

What happens if you take other drugs while taking methadone?

ANSWER:Quite simply, it can kill you. Doctors are not allowed to perscribe anything to people who are on methodone because of adverse reactions that can occur. Not even acetiminophen. When your body is on the methodone program, its defenses are so limited that any foreign drug can have dynamic adverse side effects. It would be advised to ask a phisician as to whether any other drug can be safely taken, some are much worse that others. Good luck on your program and I hope you decide to cut the dosage down as quickly and finally graduate off of it. God Bless.

I mean it did the job pain wise very well, but i didnt like the side affects. i even quit the Hydromorphone and Valium to see if it would matter and it did not it still did great for the pain but made me sick and feel really off. I am now on MS Contin and the hydromrphn and vluim Hope this helps

I was on methadone for almost 10 years at one time was off for almost 5 and am back on. I am getting a triple back fusion next Monday and I fear them giving me the wrong medication as 2 hospitals have done in the past. When I gave birth to my son I was given a drug called "Nubaine" (opiate)that put me in immediate methadone withdrawl while having labor pains 3 minutes apart and they left me like that for 3 hours until they found 80mgs of methadone throughout the entire hospital. They were supposed to be ready for me when I arrived, for I called ahead, and they were not prepared whatsoever. Another situation, went to a hospital for the back injury I spoke of getting fixed earlier and they gave me demeral, once again I was put into immediate withdrawl. After each happened I went back to the clinic on my next dosing day and they actually laughed about how sick I must have got while giving labor from the "nubaine" (my son almost died when being born, he was under complete duress and had speech problems for years, now is fine at 10 years old), this showed how incencitive the clinic was towards my well-being at one of the most beautiful moments of my life and the suffering I went through, they just didnt care, ugh. So far I know they are two and I do know there are 3 more that will definetly put you in withdrawl but the names of them are so hard to pronounce let alone remember but I do believe they were a type of opiate (not many I havent taken from a broken back with herniated discs....tired of pain management, time to get it fixed. I hope my experience helps someone else not go through what I did.....ever and would love for someone to share with me also any other drugs that cause withdrawl. I had been on many benzos, depression, and bi-polar meds when on the clinic and none of them caused withdrawl, something happens with certain other opiates that kicks the methadone out (dilaudid, as mentioned above, was fine when given those on methadone).

Ah ha I found the answer. In 1937 the Nazis adopted the 40 milligram dose. See links below.

How much methadone milligrams is a quarter of a teaspoon?

Milligrams is a measure of mass, a quarter teaspoon is a measure of volume, the two forms of measurement cannot be interchanged without knowing the density of the substance, meaning you can't measure milligrams by a teaspoon or any fraction of a teaspoon.

How long does hydro-morphine stay in urine?

Approximately 2 - 4 days. (See related links below for verification)

You have been taking 1 10mg methadone pill twice a day for 5 months. how many days would you have to go without taking it .for it not to show up on your urine test?

If you are taking this narcotic drug under the direct care and order of a physician and have an official Prescription for this drug, then there should be no problem for it to show up in an urine test. Tell the screener that you are taking that drug under doctors orders.

Conversely, if this drug is being taken illegally, you might need up to a month for all of it to get out of your system.

Another fun fact:(**PLEASE READ!!!**) I learned that if you take Methadone, it doesnt show up in a standard drug test. The person sending in the urine to be evaluated for drugs must specify whether or not they want the urine tested for Methadone. A lot of places wont do that, so if you're taking Methadone without a script and are worried about a drug test, dont be! :)

How can you break through your methadone block?

You can't. Methdone clogs your opiod receptors so you have to wait for them to clear up which can take up to 72 hours. I heard white grapefruit juice will make you metabolize methadone more quickly and may make it's effects go through your system more rapidly, but of course I am not a doctor and cannot advise doing this.

What is the cpt code for methadone?

It has to be J1230 code.

Is taking 100 mg of methadone for your first time lethal What affects would you feel before the actual death Would you be unconciouse for it Where can you get methadone in UK without pescription?

100 Mg. of Methadone would not be considered a lethal dose. However your question does not have enough information for anyone to give a responsible answer. It would depend the reason you are taking the methadone? If you are a heroin addict or addicted to another type of opiate. If you have developed a tolerance to opiates, then you would probably be able to make the transition to methadone at that dose with no debilitating affects. It is entirely contingent on what your efficacy is? If you are looking to enhance your life and get away from the sedentary life style that accompanies addiction of most opiates, you are not going to get the desired results on 100 mg. of methadone. You will be lethargic and not really motivated to do what it takes to have any real life. Remember Methadone is not something you use to get high, it is a stepping stone to get your zeal for life back. It you have no tolerance and start of there you still probably won't die but again there are many variables that a responsible person can logically answer. I am not even going to indulge the rest of your question with answers,

How bad is the withdrawal off of 5 mg of methadone?

Its still crappy one, will last for about a couple weeks and depending on your body health, might be hard or not as hard, but you'll have the most basic withdrawal sympthoms, specially imnsonia, anxiety, malaise, some bone pain if you're prone to it.

If u can go lower, go to 0.5 then quit. Take vitamin and mineral supplements (with magnesium specially). Good luck.

Can you work on methodone?

Yes, As long as you keep at a proper dose and do not try to seek a high from it you will not have any issues working. i worked for 15 years on it with no problems. Of course i kept my dose at a therapeutic dose and was not trying to get a nod off of it. I Also went to college part time whole working. i did very well.

How fast can you get addicted to methadone I am taking it 50 mg every other day?

couple of months I'd say.

Well since I have been taking it for about 6 or so months now and tried to get off of it after the first month I would have to say that yes you can get addicted within weeks not months of course if you get off it now it will be alot easier then say 3 months down the road... if your not taking it for life long pain then I would suggest you get off it asap because the withdraws are horrible I couldn't even get out of bed when I was coming off of it... but I take it for chronic pain life long pain and I will be looking at something stronger most likely as I have gotten use to it over the last 6 or 7 months and its not helping my fibromyalgia anymore.
