READ THE WHOLE PAGE BEFORE YOU START TO DO ANYTHING # figure out what mod you want # go to "http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/" # type in the name of the mod you want in the search bar Akatosh Mount for example. (my personal favorite) # for some mods you WILL need 7 zip so you should google that and download that asap. # download the mod to wherever in your computer you want # click and drag it into the "Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion/data" folder. # if the downloaded file is a 7 zip you will then use 7 zip to export all the contents of that file into your "Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion/data" folder. if not, you dont need 7 zip and can export it without it. mods are not very user friendly and oblivion will NOT go into files by itself so if your downloaded file had files within files you need to empty ALL the files into the data folder with everything else. this can be a VERY complicated prosess and can leave your data folder looking like a mess but it should still work. the way you can tell if it worked is by clicking on your oblivion game icon. when the menue opens up you will see a button that says data files. click on it. there will be a box titled Oblivion.esm (Master File). if there are any other boxes, check them and you can go into the game and use whatever the mod was. if it wasnt there then you will need to go back and make sure you put all the contents of the mod into the data folder. in the mod there will also be a Read Me file that you will have to read. as for a recomondation as to which mod you should start with, I would start with the Sauron's Armor Chest. this is the easyest mod that I have come across and also a good one. Also, you should make an account on Planetelderscrolls. it just makes thiings easyer. Here are a few REALLY nice mods: Armory of the silver dragon, Akatosh mount, and you can also google oblivion mods and watch videos and choose ones that you want.

Seeds are what the game uses to generate a world's basic landscape. It doesn't encode any user-made structures such as castles. If someone builds a castle, the seed won't change and anyone using that seed will just get the same untouched landscape the first person started with.

Edit: No b/c when u go to the nether a portal is spawned for u to get out but if a ghast blows it up then its a dead portal then it spawns one close to the dead one. OR if u made a portal farther away from the first portal it spawns one anywhere even underground
