Creepers are green monsters who appear when the sun goes down. But unlike skeletons and zombies they don't burn to death when exposed to sunlight. When a creeper comes close to you it makes a hissing sound and explodes about one second later. They're called creepers because they can sneak up behind you kill you, since their footsteps are almost completely silent.

Notch is not a mob in minecraft. Notch is the name dubbed by fans for the creator of minecraft, Markus Persson. He is often used in minecraft animations where he lives in a mansion or in the clouds, but he does not exist in the game.

They dont make noise until they are near you. Then they make a hissing sound like a fuse going off then BOOM the explode.

They have to be planted in Soul Sand, from the Nether.

Free Minecraft software is available many places such as CNET downloads, or Sourceforge, and, of course, the Minecraft site itself. For even more sources you might want to check one of the many Minecraft forums.

It might be because you either have not payed for minecraft with your account, or have payed for it, but deleted your .minecraft folder and tried to log in without username or password. If not either of these reasons, try resetting your computer.

First you go to the forums that your client is using. US forums for the North American client and EU forums for the European client. Then you log in with your wow credentials (your email/password that you use to log into the game).

No, Minecraft is only for PC and Xbox 360.

You don't, it's an item in the game's code, but it has no functions. You need hacks or an inventory editor to get it, and even if you do, it's basically just a decoration.

You can't. Your best way is to make a dark house and let dangerous mobs spawn, like a creeper.

You can put the executable on the desktop and play it, but you cannot save and load files from anywhere but the default location. All of the save files for Minecraft are stored in My Documents/Application Data(a hidden folder)/.minecraft(also hidden). There is no way to change this location.

Step 1: Enter creative mode.

Step 2: Give yourself whatever weapon you want.

Step 3: Level yourself up by throwing a bunch of Bottles o' Enchanting on the ground.

Step 4: Place an anvil.

If you're talking about the sky dimension Notch or Jeb mentioned regarding the Adventure update, it doesn't exist as such. It's been replaced by the End

The third dimension in Minecraft is The End. You can't build a portal to it, but you'll find one somewhere in a stronghold. I think it will always have a silverfish spawner and a number of silverfish hiding as blocks around, so be careful - maybe approach from above so they can't jump up to you. They can be found by throwing Eyes of Ender - created by combining Ender Pearls (looted from Endermen) and Blaze Powder (which comes from Blaze rods, which is looted from the Blaze enemies populating Nether Fortresses). With a number of them - up to 12 - you can activate the End Portal you find in the stronghold. Hop in and it takes you to The End.

Be warned, the End is a scary place. It is populated by large numbers of Endermen, as well as the immensely powerful Enderdragon. To make matters worse, there are numerous pillars of Obsidian topped with special blocks that will heal the Enderdragon as it passes by. You won't be able to return except by dying unless you manage to kill the Enderdragon. Take some heavily enchanted diamond armor, a decent sword or two, some enchanted bows (more than one, now that they wear out), food and potions to keep yourself alive (instant heal and regeneration effects are a must) and a dozen stacks (or more) of arrows. You will be doing a LOT of shooting.
