There isn't one, it uses the same resivor that the front washers use. Under the bonnet, just behind the right hand front tire.

Sounds like youve broken a belt. Battery light comes on when the battery is no being charged. Power steering stops when the power steering pump is not being driven. I dont know about on a mini cooper s but a lot of cars have 1 belt driving both of these things. Chekc under your bonnet, you will likely have some broken bits of belt hanging around and a few bare wheel/pulley type things. Your car will continue to run (minus power steering) untill the battery dies (couple hundred K's max, likely much less) so head straight to a garage. Its a routine fix that shouldnt take more than an hour or so.

As in not unleaded / lead-free? NO. All MINIs are built to take unleaded / lead-free gasoline, and CANNOT, under any circumstances, take regular leaded petrol.

The higher the octane, the less likely the gas is to prematurely ignite in the combustion chamber under compression. Due to design of the MINI's engine (both standard and S type), the compression ratio is higher in the MINI than most other vehicles. Because of this regular gasoline, octanes 85-87 depending on what state you live in, has a tendancy to ignite prematurely during the compression stroke of the engine. To compensate for this, the onboard computer in the MINI will retard the ignition timing. The result of this decreased power output and a possibility of knocking. In short, you CAN run regular gas, but you may notice sluggish engine performance. MINI's are tuned to run on gas with an octane rating of 91 or higher. However, higher octane does not equal more power. Stock MINI's are intended for street use and running anything higher than 92 or 93 will not result in an appriciable increase in power, if any at all.

The brake wear indicator is a non-reusable sensor that is installed in the brake pad. If this sensor is activated then the entire sensor must be replaced. Parts are available on-line if you are not close to a MINI dealership. After the worn sensor is replaced, you turn the key to position II without starting the car and wait for the light to reset.

The sensor can be replaced without removing the caliper.
