Cramping during pregnancy, unfortunately, can mean multiple things; some are okay and some are not so good. It can be gas, constipation, your uterus growing; signs of an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and the list can go on and on. I was actually wondering the same thing. I was on birth control when I went to visit my boyfriend for a week and about 2 weeks after returning home I got mega-bad cramping. I had some spotting that day and the next and thought it was weird but then when it came time for my period it was a few days later than normal and again I had some cramping which is abnormal for me since I had children. One day on my pad I had what looked like an approximately 1 inch light greyish colored deflated ball with a tail of about 2 inches. Then, when I wiped I had another thick 2-3 inch long piece of what appeared to be tissue. I'm not sure what all this was and was hoping to find an answer here but it seems there are many people asking this same question and no one answering it. I havn't gone to the doctor and don't think I will unless I feel ill. If anyone else has had a similar experience please let me know.

To describe what you can expect to see after miscarrying, will all depend upon the gestation of the baby. In other words, what you might see at just 3 months pregnant, and what you would see at 18 to 19 weeks pregnant is totally different. I "misscarried" at just under 20 weeks gestation, and I must be honest with you - I went through the entire labour. What I learnt was that the pain we get from contractions has little or nothing at all to do with the 'size' of the baby. Rather, when in full-labour (like I was at 19.5 weeks pregnant), the contraction-pain and length of time contracting in labour, was exactly the same as what it was for my other two children who were born full-term. Obviously the "pushing" part is much shorter and less intense, but again, depending on how far along you are; you can expect to see something different. I had a fully-formed beustiful little boy at 19.5 weeks, but obviously his little lungs were too immature for him to survive. If you misscarried in your first trimenster e.g. up to 3 months, you may see (and pass) a small sack containing a "soft tissue" like substance. My friend said that she went through much cramping, and she saw what looked like a "forming" little baby, but it was so tiny, that you could only JUST make out the formation etc. It is a tragic experience at ANY gestation, however, having personally gone through a full labour and not having a baby as a suprise at the end, was beyong devastating for me. Mention this to your doctor and try to get a second opinion. It may have looked like a miscarriage, but there may still be hope. I've heard about a woman who apparently miscarried and later found out that her baby was still growing inside her because the bloodflow from the "miscarriage" was too weak to rid her body of the baby. But at the same time, don't get too worked up about it, as it could be only gas.

It depends on the hcg levels in your body at the time. I have a MC at 6 weeks , my doc tested my hcg at it was at 8, 2 weeks ago so technically I could ovulate this week If you hcg levels are greater than 5 then you will not ovulate. I'm sorry to hear you sad news and hope this information helps

I think you wont know until you conceive again, then immediately you know about pregnancy consult your gynaecologist so that if there is a need for some procedures to occur can be done in time.
