This only the new flash player that is making the problem just uninstall the new flash player and install the old version ..................

One thing you could do is, make Firefox start with a blank page rather than having a homepage which has to load and slows down Firefox at start. So to make Firefox load with a blank page, = Tools > Options > Main (click on the tab at the top) > Click on the drop down part in the Start Up section and then choose "Show a blank page"

Hope this helps.

You could also try getting rid of some old add-ons you don't need. Or you can get an add-on which can allow Firefox to be minimized to the system tray so you never have to close it.

about:config adaptations to make Firefox faster

To configure the firefox browser:

3. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

(you can find these quickly by typing "network.http" in the filter field)

* network.http.pipelining

* network.http.proxy.pipelining

* network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

4. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 20. This means it will make 20 requests at once (8 should however be adequate to provide a significant boost).

Fetch only what you click.

Firefox has this wacky little feature that downloads pages from links it thinks you may click on pages you view, like the top result on a page of Google results. This means you use up bandwidth and CPU cycles and store history for web pages you may not have ever viewed. Creepy, eh? To stop that madness, set the network.prefetch-next key to false.

right click on false and select toggle to switch to: true

--Mine, too...you might have cookies or javascript turned off. If you use NoScript or Adblock, you have to disable them for myspace to work in Firefox.

If you're using windows, and Mozilla Firefox, go to Tools>Clear Private Data, or alternativly, you could just press Ctrl+Shift+Del.

When a pop-up comes up, check "Cookies". Then press ok.

Your browsing history should be cleared.

Try to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player Active X and Plug in and then reinstall it as there could be traces of previous versions in the computer which are interfering and making it difficult for the browsers to properly display videos on your computer. You can use an add-on to do this.

Tools > Add-ons > Get add-ons > search for "Foxfilter" > Add to Firefox > Restart Firefox

You can configure the add-on and use a password to make it work or stop.

The "invalid security certificate" errors are problems with the website you are visiting, not Firefox. With new standards of multimedia constantly being released, updates have been released of Direct X to be able to handle more extreme forms of multimedia and to be able to interface with more advanced models of computer hardware like sound cards, video cards, monitors, etc.

This is for Firefox 3.5.

1. Go to the Tools menu OR press.

2. Select Clear Recent History.

3. Select Time Range.

4. Click on Details.

5. Choose Cache.

6. Click Clear Now.

Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
